Prairie Kettle Deli — Restaurant in Medicine Hat

A HUGE toast to Prairie Kettle Deli. Approx. a couple weeks ago I had ordered a soup and salad. The soup was amazing as always, but the salad was soft/wilted. I let her know. She offered to buy my next lunch. I just had to tell her who I was. Well I've been in there a few times since and have paid for my own meals (My choice. I purposely didn't tell her who I was). The meals were amazing as always. She checked in with me last night. I told her I didn't want her to buy my meal. I enjoy the food and it was only the one time. She said a deal is a deal and stood by it on her end. I agreed to allow her to buy my soup and salad. I told her I was just waiting for one of my favorite soups to show up on the menu. Well she put it up for today. When I went in she immediately asked if I was the one in the messages. She said she was asking everyone that looked like me. She bought my lunch for me. If you haven't eaten there before, please do check it out. Amazing local deli for sure! You feel so welcome when you walk...

If you don't stop here you're really missing out. I travel constantly and this is home food not gas station food. The breakfast sandwich is freaking amazing!! Always a great lunch special, Fresh buns and thick fresh bread. Home made soups (Mushroom highly recommended!) And probably the best egg salad I have ever tasted. I know that seems really out of proportion for a tiny diner hidden in an industrial area but I ate here for just over a year. Arrive early if you can. The locals know about this place and sometimes the lunch crowd is lined up out the door. Worth your time to call ahead and pick up to avoid the line. I gained about thirty pounds eating here for a year. You have been warned. If you are passing by in a rig park at the Husky and walk over. Totally worth your time. No employees. I am the owner/operator of this deli and would like to respond to Garthe Alaric review. My standards in this deli are of upmost to importance to me and I am very sad to have to defend myself on this situation. I would like to say that my meatloaf was served to many others that day and I took the time out to call customers to make sure it was fine. No problem.
