Today is October 22, 2021 It disgusts me to learn my grandchildren went to this location today with their other grand-parent having a terrible experience. I wasn't there today so it wasn't about masking. All I know is the kids 11 and 7 told me the people were mean so they went to Strathroy for food instead. We will never attend this location again. What is up with the staff at this location that children are willing to say the people who work there are 'rude'? This is a small community where we've had so many good experiences with some really terrific people. What's up Subway? Do you hire from outside your lovely community or treat your employees so poorly they take it out on your customers?
Today, March 26, 2021 Middlesex county is in the orange zone due to the pandemic.
I was disappointed when I Googled this Subway for curb-side pick up to see the store was closed. I was hungry for dinner so when I drove by finding it was opened I turned around to grab a sub. I was the only customer at approximately 7 pm I told the server how happy I was to see her open since the internet said it closed at seven.
Midway through my sub prep, another young woman came upfront from the back of the store. She asked me if I can put my mask on. Pleasantly I smiled telling her I have a disability that prevents me from wearing a mask. Her reply was they don't accept exemptions at this location. Feeling confused I smiled knowing she meant it so I asked her "are you saying I can't have my sub?" She answered not if I don't put a mask on. Sternly I repeated I cannot. I just want my sub. She replied I have the owner on the phone who says this is private property. I left the store.
I feel terrible, angry, frustrated, hurt and more. Instantly I had a panic attack being treated so poorly when I was physically distanced with two masked people. It makes me wish ill to the owner of this location. I want them to feel how they caused me and two teenagers feel about ourselves over a face mask. I'm a senior woman. I'm not running around looking for conflict.

Walked in with my family and the employee greeted and by letting us know we’re closing in 10 minutes, like we can’t order anything lol ! my one family member asked if it was okay if we could order subs ? The employees response “well, how many subs are you trying to order…” as if the amount of subs should stop you from doing your job & serving 3 costumers? Especially when the establishment is still open for another 10 minutes and that’s why you’re being paid! What right does an employee have to refuse service to a costumer because they’re closing in 10 minutes just because she doesn’t want to do her job. one person out of my family insisted on getting a sub. Which was approved by the employee that she could make 1 sub ! myself and my sister did not because of how uncomfortable and how bad the employee made us feel. Like we were a bother coming into a restaurant that’s open ?!?! Absolutely ridiculous horrible service. After all of that the employee then locked the doors to the restaurant behind us when the establishment still remained opened for another 5 minutes. I guess this employee couldn’t make myself or my sister our food with the store still being open. I’ve worked in the same industry and NEVER would that behaviour be accepted. If an establishment is supposed to be open until a certain time then the establishment should REMAIN open until said time. Not made to feel like we needed to ask if it was okay to order food.Then locked the doors and shut the lights off with 5 minutes still remaining open. Won’t be going here ever again lol. I was impressed with the customer service received. There was an employee named Krystin (I asked) and she was fantastic! Super friendly, energetic and had a smile on her face the whole time.
