Subway — Restaurant in Middlesex Centre

I will start by saying Subway is my go to quick food spot. Has been for years. I normally have a great experience. This store is a slight exception. As long as you order in store and monitor the making of your sub it is fine. Beware ordering by app. The staff have clearly been taught to ration toppings to maintain healthy margins. This is the only store I have been to where they dont load on the toppings. I am always embarrassed standing there saying "more, more, more" with every topping 3 or 4 times. It is not a one time occurrence either. This has now happened on multiple occasions. Others I have bought subs for in the past also noticed unprovoked. That is why I no longer order by app (seems worse using app as you cant see it being made). You get home and the thing is near empty. At one point in past I even had to point to a bare spot where I wanted some lettuce added. Anyway, you have been warned. Update apr 2024 You had an opportunity to improve your rating with me but it's still a 1. I ordered a jerk chicken rice wrap on the app, and I'm pretty sure you didn't ever read my order, you just made the regular wrap. Ordered extra garlic sauce, there was none, no jerk sauce, and no cheese. So dry! Thanks. I was excited to attend the new Subway in Ilderton. Walking into the restaurant it was somewhat clean. On the counter where the subs were being made some vegetables were missing obviously from a busy day.

Being celiac I was encouraged to see that it offered gluten free bread.

Unfortunately as I watch the employees making the sandwiches I saw spoons, hands etc touching gluten and then touching other things. This also extended from seeing pieces of food in different areas overlapping containers into gluten containers.

The service was fast and curtious.
