Godfathers Pizza - Minden — Restaurant in Minden Hills

OVER-PRICED, UNDERCOOKED LOW-QUALITY WINGS, HORRIBLY MANAGED....ONLY SURVIVING BECAUSE THEY ARE THE ONLY PIZZA AVAILABLE IN THE AREA. Better to Delissio your own. Bought a cottage outside Minden. Was so happy to have a pizza place near by. The first time we ordered a large pizza and 2 lbs of wings, we were disappointed that both orders of wings (buffalo and honey garlic) were UNDERCOOKED.. Considering we paid close to $75 and picked up our order it was pretty bad. No biggie, maybe just a bad day. Tried them again when we went up for my sons birthday party with some family and friends. When I went to place my order I spoke to someone that was obviously new and had no knowledge of specials or combos. I questioned them offering no specials as that’s unusual for a pizza place. I asked about them again after she told me to my surprise, the total was almost $100. She told me again there was morning she could do. When we opened the food at home, again we had to re-cook the wings. They were UNDERCOOKED. Pizza is 6/10. Good for up north. Beggars can’t be choosers. Anyways, the menu was attached to the box. I look to see that in fact there was a special? It was $35less than what we paid. When I called back the next day and spoke to our waitress that had been there a while, and laugh my complaint, she apologized but told me good luck dealing with the manager. That she doesn’t usually call people back and she’s not trying best to deal with about things like this. She guaranteed me a call back by Tuesday and said if she went in on her shift Tuesday she would make sure to call me back. Haven’t heard back at all. Bottem line- OVERPRICED FOOD. ADEQUATE PIZZA 6/10. UNDERCOOKED WINGS TWICE. UNKNOWLEDGEABLE STAFF POORLY MANAGED. Would NEVER go back and will advise my renters to skip this place when they visit...

I'm from the Toronto area, unfortunately used to rude people. After reading the reviews saying the place was great, thought we would give it a try! We walked into the restaurant, and was immediately asked to go outside, as there was people waiting for their pizza. Given the current Covid situation, completely understandable...although the delivery was harsh, and completely unreasonable.

Fast forward to ordering...the girl was anything but interested in answering our questions about the menu...but did. As we were ordering, she advised it would be 40 min wait. We agreed. Then a second girl came to finish taking our order and payment. At this point (literally 1 min later) she advised me to would be 55 mins.

About 50 min of waiting we went to grab our pizza. At this point they asked my name for the third time. Advised who I was. This is where they advise me a it will be an additional 20 mins. So we wait. 21 mins later, we return, only to be told they haven't even put it in the oven yet. She did nicely advise us it only takes 8 min to cook though! So again, we wait (outside with one of the girls who work there, who was on a smoke break). 10 mins later (for a total of 1 hr 20 mins) she tells us it just came out of the oven, then asks our name again, and that it wasnt ready yet. 1 hr and a 1/2, for something that was going to be 40 mins.

The pizza was okay, the canned mushrooms were a pleasant surprise. I would highly suggest the owner of this restaurant takes a min to think of what is happening here, it's apparent the Godfather has stepped out.

P.S. they do not wear masks...

Today ( A Friday, so busy night) , we ordered 2 large pizzas and a 2L of Pepsi as part of a promotion. When we picked up the pizza and arrived home we noticed that the boxes seemed small. They were medium boxes and upon further inspection found one of the pizzas was not made correctly. We did not receive the 2L drink. We went back to ask the employees what had happened. After going back the young lady at the front desk informed us that they had placed the large pizzas into medium boxes. The young lady then addressed her more senior colleague. She then responded to us, "What do you want me to do about it?" This seemed like a very inappropriate way of phrasing it. I feel that it is the buisness' job to make amends and not ask what we would like done. She agreed to make us new pizzas and said it would be 30 minutes. So we went to the seating area and waited for them to be made. The young lady from the front desk asked if we wanted the incorrectly made pizzas and we said yes since they told us they would just throw them out. (This means an employee knew we were there) We then had a half hour go buy. Not unexpected since its busy on a Friday. Then after a full hour of waiting I went to ask what was the issue as we were waiting. The pizzas were on top of the oven for who knows how long and they had forgot to come give us them. So we were given them and left wishing their night gets less busy. We have ordered from here before but are certainly reluctant...
