Thomas and Ett’s Kitchen — Restaurant in Mira Road

This is my third time trying Tom & Ettes kitchen food. The first time I had chicken and fries it was really good. The second time I had chicken and fries it was to say the least very unappealing, way overdone and the portion size of the chicken was so tiny it looked like it came from a small bird. I just picked up the fish special for today and my husband and I tried the Donair. The Donair was tasty but lacked ingredients like vegetables. The fish was probably the worst I have ever seen or eaten for that matter. It looked like there was no batter or the better was left in the deep fryer, was way to overdone. The coleslaw didn't pass our approval either. I try to shop local and support our community. Get on the cooks to do a better job really have to take more Pride in the cooking of your food. It's not the flavor it's definitely the way it is being cooked, everything seems to be way overdone. Forgot to mention the french fries again way too overdone. We were in the Sydney area and craving a Donair. Thomas and Ett's popped up as well reviewed option, so we took a chance. We are glad we did as it was the best donair/gyro we've ever had.

First the prices were reasonable and the portions were large. They had a special for $5.99 junior donairs that night, which was more than enough food for my wife. My son tackled a large (which was massive), while I took on a medium (just right).

As to the quality of the donairs: The pita was fresh The meat was plentiful, well seasoned, and had a spicy kick The portion of meat to tomatoes/onions was perfect The donair sauce was portioned perfectly and had an incredble flavor.

This place is not much to look at from the road, but they are slaying the donairs there. They had a full pizza/sub menu as well and it all looked delicious.

Currently staying in Mira Gut. Decided to try Tom and Ett's, as the food looked great and it was a close option. We ordered online, which was straightforward. Everything was ready when it was supposed to be. Staff were great. My husband tried the donair and stuffed poutine, I tried the donair and fries (gravy) and our daughter tried the chicken finger and fries.
