Update: I posted this review 2 years ago. Over these 2 years I've eaten here probably another 10 or so additional times.
WITHOUT FAIL when you do a mobile pickup or drive through order this location will short you on fries, onion rings, toppings on burgers... It would appear anything they can be stingy on, they are. Every single time I tell myself "holy crap they ripped me off AGAIN... I'm not gonna come back here." I can't afford takeout often, so it burns extra when my hard earned money is ripped off.
WELL today is the day!!! May 2, 2025 the King Street dairy Queen location has ripped off me and my family or anyone who I can warn against going there for the last time. No more half full onion rings and fries I paid extra to up-size... No more mushroom burger with a teaspoon of sauce and like 3 mushroom slices on it, Done with that bs!
Whether it's the managers or owners, please remove your head from your posterior and stop cutting corners!!!
Old review from 2023: Food quality is great, but when you pay nearly $5 for onion rings you expect more than 5 small ones filling about half of the box. Every other DQ I ever went to made sure the box was overflowing and still balanced an extra one or two on top. No reason to be cheapin' out on muh rings over here DQ 😡
It's nice this location supports the app and rewards system, but the Newcastle DQ is way better...
Read moreI LOVE Dairy Queen! (check any of my reviews on the franchise) I ordered a Flame thrower combo, fries, diet Pepsi no ice and single flamethrower burger. My daughter ordered 6 piece chicken strip combo with onion rings and a Sprite no ice ( no ice because of our long drive)
Once I pulled out of the window I realised that I was missing food ( no fries and minus one chicken strip) no napkins or ketchup, the pop was full of ice, and the ranch sauce my daughter ordered was only a quarter full.
I was towing a large trailer and on a tight timeline, so I couldn't turn around and didn't have the time to do it anyway . I asked my daughter to look up the number to call and lodge a complaint...but it wasn't listed.
To be completely honest the food we did get was amazing and perfectly prepared (I just wish more care had been taken with our order) not being able to contact them to complain was frustrating.
They are a new location, so I hope they work out the bugs. I live so far away that there's not much I can do to get...
Read moreThe manager who was on duty had the customer service skills of a hazelnut. Every Dairy Queen we have been to asks if we want our ice cream right away or after we eat our dinner. They did not ask. I told them we would get our ice cream after we ate our meal and the manager said to the staff "Oh, they want their ice cream after they eat." When I went back to get it they had already made the two cones and sundae and put them in the deep freeze. The manager pointed at the freezer and said they are over there. My husband had ordered a hot fudge sundae and the fudge was solid and cold. Everyone knows a hot fudge sundae should start with hot fudge. Also we ordered three poutine and two of them had hardly any gravy. After just a couple of bites we were basically out of gravy. I had to go back in the get gravy. The young man I spoke to was extremely friendly and helpful. The...
