While the customer service rep was all too-willing to provide the tall cup of ice as requested - it must be expressed that the old man in line who deserves the two star atmosphere rating was surprisingly comfortable with the meandering exchanges of 'feeling each other up' in line, following my salutation of "hey old fella, where's the party at?" in a pleasant, unassuming of demeanor or any disposition to the otherwise, and following my earnest regard of inquiry into whether touching each other too closely was a traditional form of greeting from his post WW1 days, estimating his longevity by the sweat of his brow - so to speak. Proceeding to play what's known as 'chicken or go' more colloquially for a few minutes in presumption of getting to the reason for why this pleasant enough old chap initiated such a game in public, among the visual of a crowded room - I got as far as touching the keys in his pocket before realizing I was the only one uncomfortable with this game of monkey see monkey do, only further exciting this stranger onto the armrest that my shoulder is not and never will be - arriving together in agreement at the conclusion that "mon corps c'est mon corps, ce n'est pas le tien" though it should also be noted that the tall cup of ice was exceptional - but I'm sure you already knew that. That's my .25 cents for...

I really wanted to like this place. We live out of town, and have seen it in passing, and always wanted to go in but the timing was just never right. Today we had some spare time, and we were in town for an appointment, so we went. The young female barista, friendly and helpful, the young man making food was great at well. The older woman taking orders, was not friendly, nor helpful nor great. She was quite abrupt and seemed annoyed. Why someone like that would be on the front lines taking orders is beyond me.

Either than the let down with that particular employees demeanor and lack of customer service, the food we had was good. The coffee was ok. We had just regular coffees/dark roast. The inside of the building and the atmosphere was pleasant.

Unfortunately we will not be running back to Cafe Codiac. I feel a business has to make a good first impression and that woman cashier did not fulfill that duty...

I can't say enough good about this place. Always would bee line to thier coffee at the market but the market is just getting too stupid busy, didn't know they had a stand alone location...6yrs and didn't know! Since we found it we come here every chance we get for coffee. Thier dark roast to die for an always always always perfect never a single miss. My husband been trying all of thier sandwiches one each time so far the breakfast one is his favorite and he has enjoyed the sweetbreads. For us celiacs they have gluten free cookies which is a nice treat.

The staff here freaking epic!!! No matter how busy always kind friendly, funny even though a line can be out the door, the tables full and the drive through busy, they are always on point! Be kind of it's busy people you can see how hard they are working, grateful for them as they always get our...

Not overly impressed. Firstly, it was difficult to find because the larger sign on the building says "Down East Coffee". I drove right past it looking for Café Codiac, which is a much smaller sign on the side of the building next to the entrance. The food is expensive for what you get. The Chai latte was huge, but that certainly didn't make up for it's bitter flavour. The layout of the café is awkward and could easily be fixed by adding a few half walls, angling the tables, adding drapes to lower the ceiling, or all of the above. Their pastries are almost hidden, and I didn't notice them until after I ordered. Overall, there was nothing special about this café and I probably won't be returning. The picture I include is probably the coziest table in the place, situated behind a wall of sorts.

I really enjoy coming to Café Codiac when I want to get out of the house for a couple of hours. The staff are nice and friendly, there are a lot of tablets and seating, the drinks are always piping hot and delicious, and their sandwiches (both breakfast and otherwise!) are very satisfying. I've yet to try their house soups but I have no doubt they'll be great! The wifi is of good quality and it's a great place to catch up on some work, study, read, or have a meet up with a friend.

This place is a treat! The food is simple but yummy. The drinks are perfect and the staff are awesome. Nice spacious place to chill or for an outing with friends or a sweet date. Nice sheltered outdoor summer patio too. Only one washroom though lol but totally worth the experience.
