18-04-2025:
Went in with the intention to buy at least two plates but as I walked in, I was greeting by nobody. Don't get me wrong, there's a douchebag with a baseball cap leaning over the food counter that looks at me as I stare into his eyes and he says nothing.
Je lui dis, tu sais pas parler? Il repond, "bonjour ou hi".
This went from a sure sale to a no sale at that point. I don't think he deserves to get a little over 40$ of my money when I can't even get greeted?
This is Canada, I don't know how it works where you're from but that's the first thing you do when a customer graces you with their presence in your establishement, you greet him with a smile idealy.
I went straight next door, where they great and respect you. They don't look like a douchebag who's in a gang.

Went in for a shish taouak plate to go.
I don't know why the guy was sharpening his knife and then cutting food right away after, that can't be good.
Uppon tasting the food, the chicken is very blend it has no taste so not marinaded and the potatoes are hard, taste like I DONT KNOW what but it aint garlic. So using the provided plastic fork I have a hard time going through them.
They really taste like yesterdays or in their case saturdays potatoes if not older since they are closed on sunday.
It's weird, everything taste like it smelled at my grandma's house.
I hope 2025 brings quality food/service to business otherwise with all the price increase that are coming our way, people...
Read moreI don't know about other reviews but my experience at this place has always been great. After talking to the owner a couple of times, i found out he used to be an employee at another location then many years later decided to open his own place. He explained to me that he knows the in and out of this business and i say it shows he's involved by serving us, always greets me as a regular client, chicken, shawarma, falafel and all ingredients are always fresh, i always take a fresh salad instead of patatoes on a trio. Also like the decor and vibe of the place. They always makes sure i get what i want and ask me if i am satisfied with the food before leaving, in other words they seem to care and want to see you back! Listen i've been eating this food for 36 years straight, before covid while working on the road i used to eat min once a week sometimes twice a week, that's how much i love shish-taouks and almost everything else on the menu... There are still some Amir that are very good but you have to find them and this is one of them, having tried so many other places like 2 weeks ago i ate the worst shish-taouk in my entire life but never here. I always like to root for a clean place that serve fresh tasty food and if the owner or staff are nice then it's a bonus! Try any place min 3 times before posting, so it's more of a fair review. To owner keep up the good work and...
Read moreI walked in around 11h00 on a Friday morning and I saw this guy on a ladder doing something with the TV Screens.
I ordered my Shish Taouk plates, this nice lady just finished prepping the plates with the veggies and rice and then she moves on to another customer and then another customer. Meanwhile her employee wants me to pay at the cash, but I want to see what they do with the plates before paying.
At one point, I ask her if she's going to serve the entire planet before finish serving me. I'd like to be on my way.
She responds, we are waiting on him to cut the chicken, referring to the guy still in the ladder doing god knows what to those TV sceens.
I'm not going to encourage that, there's no way, so I left.
The prices went up and the service and quality went way down in every Amir I've been to.
I gave it another try on a Sunday. It's closed.. cool...
