Holy cow, this was the most marvelous surprise. Being in Montreal my mother picked this place cause it was close to our Airbnb. I always like staying in places that are a little less touristy and this area definitely didn't disappoint. Upon entry, the decor was absolutely gorgeous. And the pastries! I didn't know where to start and I didn't know how many to buy. We went with a classic croissant, a baklava croissant, and the cinnamon sugar twist. I don't know which one was my favorite, but I would highly recommend all of them. For Breakfast I ordered the tomato sandwich with pesto, my brother got the sandwich with Canadian bacon on it, and my mother got the granola. All of the items completely surpassed our expectations. The croissant itself is perfectly flaky and golden, with a satisfying crunch that gives way to soft, buttery layers. The blueberry filling is generous and vibrant, offering a natural sweetness with a hint of tartness that complements the richness of the pastry without overpowering it. I love the breakfast sandwich, which is served on sliced bread made from croissant dough. And their coffee is high quality and the seasonal drinks are amazingly creative (I had a latte with corn-infused milk!) I also like the big window looking into the prep area, where you can watch delicious things being made before your eyes. This place is pretty exceptional overall. I donât live in Montreal but Iâll be making a detour to Aube...
