Banh Mi Madame Ly — Restaurant in Montreal

We arrived there and the place had a technical issue with air circulation; it was too hot ! Poor cooks, left a good tip for them.

I got the BBQ Chicken Banh Mi trio and the person I was with took the Mytho (Chicken) soup trio. Since the temperature was a problem we took it to go. We waited outside and the person who took our order came out to give it to us. Wonderful service, they care about the customer and it shows.

About the food itself. Despite a half hour drive it was still very hot and very fresh. The Imperial Rolls were good, nothing extraordinary but nothing bad. Just, good. The Banh Mi was crispy, the ingredients were fresh, the chicken was just enough saucy and the mix of everything rolled off the tongue so nicely. The bread was fresh and crunchy. Will definitely order again. The soup was sweet and good. It lacked vegetable, in the sense that it could have more but the quantity and quality of chicken was very high. It was perfectly cooked and tender. It came apart in a nice way. The broth was good, but it could've been more flavorful.

We've been going to Madame Ly for a while now, and their food is excellent!!! Their red curry is some of the best we've had (and we've tried quite a few places), and I also love their bun and imperial rolls. If you live close enough to them, they'll deliver for free, which is great for them. Skip the Dishes, Foodora, etc. takes a lot of money from restaurants when they deliver. very hit or miss, very little times i ordered that they make the dish good, most of the times that i’ve ordered it’s been not great.
