I visited this restaurant for the first time last Monday morning, June 9. I ordered the avocado toast on the menu. I don’t really have anything significant to say about the food. The reason I gave a 3-star rating for service and atmosphere (small space) is that I was served cold coffee and when I asked it to be reheated, to my surprise, I was told the milk was poured right out of the fridge and they couldn’t just reheat the coffee because they had no microwave! The waiter decided to use steamed milk and was obliged to put the coffee in a giant mug, making me sick after I left the restaurant because I had too much caffeine in my stomach! In addition, why was I charged $26.44 for a “tartine avocat” and a regular SMALL mug of coffee? I NEVER ordered a GIANT mug of coffee! My bad for not checking the total amount at the cash before I scanned my credit card or else, I would have asked for an explanation for sure!! I would recommend you go somewhere else where there are more breakfast options and cheaper. By the way, don’t bother checking the menu for prices online because there is no mention at all!! I don’t have money to throw away when a restaurant cannot even reheat coffee and overcharges for a simple meal which doesn’t even include coffee in the...

Well, having to make me leave this post makes me feel petty but I don’t have a choice when it comes to complete irrationality. I bought a drip coffee, left 1$ tip, 5$ total , and saw they had sparkling water on tap and asked if I could have a small glass. Two employees refused saying that it’s for espressos only. I asked them to reconsider how silly this statement was and asked again nicely if I could have a glass. Refused for a second time explaining that it’s built into the price of an espresso and that there was nothing they can do. I repeat, nothing they can do. I’m so sorry for leaving negativity in the world in a petty form of a review, but it seems to be the only défense against an even lower form of tyrannical power trips of the free fizzy water cartel!

Please.. if you read this and order a drip coffee here, please, for me, ask for a glass of fizzy water and...

Update. Pista just roasted the Kusillo bean which is roasted dark-ish, it's probably their best dark roast I've ever drank. I've also tried their breakfast sandwich and cake. Superb quality for the price. Refinements all round. It's no wonder why it's always full.

Highly recommended

Old review: I dislike pista beans for being waaaay too bright roasted or brewed way too coarse to spike your tastebuds with annoying acidity but there's no reason to dislike the spot, the service and the gorgeous vibes in there.

If only they could dial the machine to grind finer... Or roast a...

One of the best third wave café and rostery in the city. Atmosphere: Cozy and refreshing Food: I tried their latte and it has a very rich body with a very balanced taste and creamy buttery aftertaste. I tried also their double chocolate cake and it tasted good but had a little overwhelming sweetnesses Plus points: they have outdoor tables and they sell their own roasted coffee with some cups options Bottom line: a must visit place for coffee lover in Montreal

The food and coffee were so delicious, the salmon bagel was the best one I’ve ever had in my life. Everything was fresh. The place is also really cute but abit tight. I like the fact that they have an area specific for no computers allowed so that it’s saved for reading or people who are there to eat and not have to work or study :) Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back
