Bellepros Saint-Michel — Restaurant in Montreal

I have been living in this area since 22 years now. As a high school student right near this belle province, I remember when I used to come eat the poutine here with my friends and family. The owners were so good. They would give us mountains of poutine. We would all eat from one plate and would be so full and would go to the counter to ask the owner to pack it. He would smile and before packing he would fill it all up to the rim for free. Those were the days as students with small budgets we would just love going to eat poutine there. Time passed by and owners kept changing. The originals were the best, but the upcoming owners were good too. Not as good as the original ones, but still the quality of food was always nice. Fast forward to today. I went there with my 2 children and mother. The hygiene was low. I had to search for clean table and bench. No juice for children (my daughter doesn't drink fizzy drinks). I understood the language spoken by the 2 girls behind the counter. I understood that the owners are new now. I was happy that they were from the similar culture as us. When the food came the fries were uncooked, I never ate these bad fries ever. My daughter was so hungry. I had to tell her not to eat. I took the smoked meat poutine. The smoked poutine was burned. I left the food there which I paid for $53. I thought my money is wasted. I will warn others not to waste their money here. I once again thought about all the good time I spend there as a child. I decided to go speak to the girls behind the counter. I told them I left the whole food on the table. The quality is not good. Can they refund? They made me wait for 5 minutes. They said that the manager said that I can go ahead and write my review and they will never refund. Never drink from the fountain. The Fruitopia Strawberry tasted so bad. I tried Sprite, but it tasted slimy. Now I will always look at this restaurant from outside, but I'll never eat from...

Absolutely disgusting it hasn’t even been 25 minutes since I received my order and ate some of it and now I’m sick like a dog! How can you serve this slop to your clients and be ok with your quality of your food? This is borderline poisoning what you’re serving! I have half of mind to report you guys to the Commission du consommateur and have the health inspector go down there for you guys negligence in food quality. This is the fourth time in a row that I order from you guys and I get food poisoning this is ridiculous for the price I pay or any price for that matter, you shouldn’t be serving your slop to clients! You guys should be shut down...

I'm sorry to say, but while the food was okay and the guy behind the counter was really nice, this place was filthy. The kitchen, tables and seats looked clean enough, but the floor, the light switches, the thermostat and a bunch of other things were filthy, all black and gross like they were in a garage... A few of the things looked like they hadn't been washed in years. toilets were ok, but I wouldn't touch anything I really didn't need to. unfortunately for the nice guy behind the counter, which might have been the owner for all i know, i'm never going to go...
