Da Bologna Pizzeria — Restaurant in Montreal

First time in my life does a waitress tell us to keep it down. We're a family of 5, my children are very respectful and calm. They don't run around nor do they cause any trouble. We were playing rock, paper, scissors, and my kids were just laughing... the place had an older couple (which were smiling when they heard the kids enjoying the game) and another family with kids. no one seemed to be annoyed... that really put a damper on the night. The staff just seem so blah.

The food came, pizza was ok... subs lacked flavor, like ZERO flavor. we ordered steak and mushrooms, and steak and pepperoni.... you can literally count how many pieces of steak there was in the subs. My daughter who is 9 and never comments on her food said, there was no steak and just all mushrooms. The steak and pepperoni sub was basically just pepperoni. Asked for a Margherita on the phone. .got home with what I thought was going to be what I ordered. .instead it was a simple cheese pizza. I polity call back and asked why I didn't get what I ordered and was rudely answered "we don't have Margherita pizza ". So why was I sold a simple cheese pizza and not advised that you don't have? I was told yes we have Margherita pizza on initial call...I questioned. .and explained what a Margherita pizza was...waitress was clueless...anyhow as I'm ready to have my first slice I noticed a wonderful dark hair on the other part of the pizza sitting in the box. ..got grossed out and threw it all away...thank you Da Bologna for your wonderful experienced staff and the lovely dark hair on the pizza. It's a good thing that the food is amazing, because the service is horrible. We had reservations for 7, and called to see if we can come earlier (6:30). The woman on the phone said yes no problem. As we arrive, we see that it is really packed and they said they were running late. We told the owner, why weren't they honest on the phone and tell us to keep it for 7? They simply just apologized as we waited one hour to be seated when we had reservations. They didn't offer anything to us, not even a simple coffee on the house or a fry. Thankfully, the food was super and we decided perhaps it was an off night and that things happen. Gave it another chance, this time to go. We went and pick up, and they screwed up our order.
