Le B38 Sushi Poke — Restaurant in Montreal

This could be the best sushi I have ever had in Montreal!!! Everything served was so fresh and delicious. The seasonings are enough that you can taste the flavor of the seafood, not overwhelming like other places. The sushi rice is just at the right balance: not too vinegary, not too cold that the grains fell apart but not too mushy either. The ratio between rice and other ingredients is perfect so that you are not just full from eating rice. Loved the signature dishes (especially the thon sur thon!) The chef is really talented and creative. He paid attention to every detail (the plating was top notch!) and made sure everything was ok for the whole time we dined there. The co-owner/ girlfriend of chef was really nice and welcoming as well. Definitely will come back again....

In the takeout category, this is by far one of the best sushi spots in Montreal. Unfortunately, even if I ordered several times (at least once a month) - I have never had the pleasure to dine in.

Several of their rolls can seriously rival those from the city's most expensive sushi restaurants. The rice is well seasoned, the fish is fresh and well selected and there's a lot of unique rolls.

Do yourself a favour: don’t just settle for the pre-made combos. Hand-pick your rolls and splurge a little on their signature and unique creations—you won’t regret it.

Even their standard California rolls easily blow the competition out...
