I've been looking to replace Basha Restaurant since their plates had gone up to $24. This is a small place tucked in a corner of a tiny strip mall. Some shady characters hanging around the area sometimes but no matter. Parking is easy. I now have been going back there for a few months; since this summer. The food is very good, despite the naysayers, go and try for yourself, you won't regret it. Portions are generous and they have 2 sizes: small is enough for me (I'm 6' 2") large is if you just went to the gym or played sports or you're really, really hungry. I can't stress this enough: it's good ratio price / quality & size. But the best is the people working there. They are very nice and accommodating, fast and efficient; you never wait long there. They don't rush you when you don't know what to order or how to combine the ingredients etc. They're my kind of people. The only thing is, eating there may not be my first choice, so I take it to go. I love the place. Try it, you'll go back. And when you do, they'll remember you and what you ordered,...

But today I saw three guys… one preparing the food, second one finishing the orders and the third one was in the kitchen. So no cashier therefore the one preparing the food was doing cashier with the same gloves he handle the pita breads he was handling the money and when the one preparing the food was busy the guy finishing the orders was doing the cashier and he wasn’t using gloves to begin with. So, I wouldn’t recommend going there on weekdays after 6:30PM when it’s less busy as there is less staff. The food is cheap but not worth getting sick because they don’t care about the...
Read moreI have been wanting to write a review of this place but it never comes up in contributions in Maps on my phone... So I searched for it in Maps and adding it from the locations info. The BEST shish taouk in all of Montreal as far as I am concerned and I have been to more than a few places. In fact, all the dishes I have tried there were by far the best. Kafta araye is AMAZING, everything is fresh and tasty and prices are more than reasonable. The staff could not be warmer and friendlier if they tried. Thank you guys for making wonderful dishes and giving us all a taste of your culture :) I love Montreal!...
