Well used to loved the place even if it is kinda run down a little refreshing of the decor would do wonders. My boyfriend loves the Bannatyne plate and for the price and plate it is pretty much the best deal in town. Bacon super crispy and yummy. They changed their menu and my usual plates of pain doré with 3 meat is not there anymore... ok I took something else and sadly it was totally inedible. I took the chicken crepe and it said it was coming with chicken and a cheese sauce. The image on the menu is not representative of the plate... ok no problem most don't anyway but I was thinking of a béchamel like sauce with cheese like I had in other restaurant but no the sauce was an orange cheddar like sauce that was far more suited on a nachos than anything else. The chicken had not flavor at all. Ate the potatoes and most of the fruits and left the crepes barely eaten. The waitress noticed my uneaten plate and was baffled and was trying to find excuses. I was polite and said it was not the greatest to my taste instead of saying that it was not edible. I paid for the plate even if I didn't eat or enjoyed it no big deal I was not asking for a free meal anyway and my boyfriend loved his breakfast. Will I go back??? Especially after having a bad plate??? I would, it happens that you don't like something off the menu and another item is amazing. So why the 3 stars??? Now they have interact... yeah before it was only cash... they went with a QR menu because of Covid... Even greater... but what I could NOT COMPREHEND is the dirty coffee stained paper menu that was given to us. It was literally a major turn off. Knowing that all paper menu needs to be thrown after each uses. It was disgusting sorry at this point just plastify the menu and wipe them each time if you don't want to print new menus. So next time not chicken crepe for.me.and no paper...
Read moreIt’s incredibly pleasant to walk into a restaurant and see a nice cross-section of folks. Thursday at noon, the place is moderately bustling with older folks getting together with their friends for a cup of coffee, person in the corner on a laptop, university-age women splitting a crepe, adult child grabbing lunch with parent, and so on.
There were two servers who were friendly and efficient despite being quite busy; we got two sandwiches and were in and out between 12:20 and 1:00.
It was a little noisy for someone dining with a senior citizen, since the place is essentially just one big room plus, obviously, the eponymous terrasse out front. But honestly, these days, a bit of a relief to see a restaurant being kind of busy on a weekday lunch.
The place itself has a diner vibe, with the waitress making her rounds carrying a pot of coffee. The grilled chicken sandwich and club sandwich were both real solid versions of classics, and the fries were...
Read moreBy far one of the best breakfast 😋 place I've been to. The food portion was amazing 👏, the quality of food , so fresh, I ask for well cooked bacon 🥓, they did not disappoint. The fruits were so fresh and delicious. Worth the price 👌 100% the only thing is I saw the cook coming to the counter when I went to pay and she wasn't waring gloves when she put the bread in the toaster, but I think those were for her Also the waiter was not waring gloves when she put the bread in the toaster, given that she touches money all the time I thought it might be something to mention although i think all the waiters actually don't.That being said she was super courteous charming and pleasant. I do not live in Verdun but I will go the distance to eat from this...
