Our waitress was very nice, which is the only reason I'm giving 2 stars, but everything else was pretty bad.
Went in with a friend for a bite to eat in the late afternoon. The place was mostly empty. When we told the waitress we would like to eat in, she sat us at a dirty table and cleaned it off after we sat down.
We saw the sign outside that said 4 tacos for 5 bucks and my friend and I just wanted to share that and run, but the waitress told us that we both had to order something or else we couldn't eat in the restaurant. What kind of policy is that? We basically got forced to choose between not ordering anything (which might have been the better choice) or ordering twice as much food as we had planned.
We ended up ordering an extra order, and when the food finally came out, I was extremely underwhelmed by my pastor tacos. I don't know what kind of meat they used in the taco, but it certainly wasn't pastor pork. It resembled some sort of ground meat.

Read moreI went here for lunch. Great tacos, seasonings were on point. Authentic & flavorful dishes at very affordable price. Good cheap eats. The how: taco meats are replaced with cheaper cuts and ground meats while keeping the authentic seasonings. I can see why some earlier reviews said it was ok. However, you must admit It's rare nowadays to find these flavorful tacos at such low price. The portion: good but not filling if you have big appetite (as I'm 5'7 Asian woman). You can make do depend on the variety of dishes such as a burrito. The vibe: small, mom and pop type, vibrant Mexican music. Location:, a walk from behind Jean Talon metro intersect with Belanger & St. Denis. Come for lunch as you'll have more seats. Not sure about dinner. Recommended. Support...
Read moreSuper is the exact word for this place. Their superpower: It is worth it. 4 to 6 dollars for 4 tacos. What heaven is this?
The Blue Demon mask in the backyard patches this place: Made in México. They have nice horchata drinks and XX lager. Meaning there are options for kids and grown-ups. The staff is lovely and warm.
Now, the food. There is nothing like good tacos, but variety is important. Pastor is guaranteed. However, for those curious - "cabeza" and "carnitas" are on spot. They also have good ol' greasy gorditas. Ask if they have chicharron. These delicacies go straight to the heart and clog your arteries with love and deliciousness.
For those who have a sweet tooth, they have pulparindos, duvalines, pelon pelo rico, and more of those...
