We had the pleasure of working with Mohsin and Kitchen of Spices for our wedding and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. From the start, Mohsin was incredibly generous and accommodating — he invited us in for a large and delicious complimentary sample meal to help us narrow down our options ahead of time, which made the planning process so much easier and more enjoyable.
Leading up to the big day, Mohsin was always available to answer questions, offer suggestions, and work with us to make sure everything was just right. He was very accommodating with flavour and spice levels, as well as providing options for guests with dietary restrictions such as gluten or dairy-free. He even let us borrow some of his kitchenware for our buffet setup, which was such a thoughtful and helpful gesture.
The food on the day of the wedding was great — flavourful, well-portioned, and a huge hit with our guests. We also very much appreciated when days before, he offered to even deliver the food to our venue! He arrived and set up everything with great presentation. You can really tell how much care and hard work Mohsin puts into his cooking and his service. We’re so grateful to him for helping make our day special and are lucky to have such a great option locally – highly...
Read moreReally love the dessert here, it’s pricey in Morden and obviously less expensive in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, these are sold by the pound for $6. They cost $5.50 for 4 here, which is still pricey. I placed an order and was only given 1…$5.50 for one of these? Going forward I’ll stock up when I’m in Winnipeg.
I’ve gotten past the staff never wearing masks/hair nets, but it is a restaurant. The younger man (or maybe early 30s?) finally put on a mask and when it got busy, worked with different orders, and never washed his hands between covering his face and dealing with different orders..
The woman who works here is a sweetheart but it’s disappointing that I’ll have to check to see if my two small sides are correct prior to leaving, if I ever order...
Read moreThe service was friendly and efficient. The portions were good except we noticed not much chicken in the butter chicken, but there was a good amount of meat in the chicken tikka masala. The naan was definitely not the best I've had. The samosas were good. The food was tasty but there was far too much salt in everything, except the masala fries, ironically. My boyfriend has an extreme intolerance to salt and often he'll find something salty and I don't even notice it. I like a certain amount of salt. This time, even I could barely eat the food due to the amount of salt. It was as if someone misread the recipe and added a tablespoon of salt instead of a teaspoon. Can't give a better review based...
