The offer is appreciated, but I likely won't take it up. If I do ever decide to give it a try again, I pay for my goods anyway. Maybe in the future, assume that if someone has been waiting for a long time, they're likely not hanging out and probably didn't notice the sign. Especially since it really comes off as a sit down service restaurant when you walk it. I will say it did smell really good in there!
Went in and got a friendly greeting. Sat down and looked at the menu for a few minutes. Then I looked around the restaurant for a few minutes. Then I pulled my phone out to pass some time. When I noticed over 10 minutes had passed from the time I pulled my phone out, and I hadn't even been asked if i would like a drink, I got up and left. Was looking forward to trying the chilly fries, the Philly burger, and the restaurant itself. Technically, I can't rate the food because they didn't want to serve me. I suppose I could have been rude and yelled for attention, but I prefer not having servers spit in my food, so leaving seemed the best option. 20 minutes of life I will...
Read moreFirst time trying out the restaurant. Ordered the Fire Hall burger with a side of poutine. The burger was very good! First time trying a smash burger. It's different than traditional patties in that the smash patties are thinner with a crispy outer crust. The burger has a slight kick to it with the jalapeños and three pepper sauce without being too overpowering to the average person. The potato bun is much softer and more chewy than a traditional bun, but it's definitely a nice difference. Overall, it was a well thought out burger that's not greasy like a traditional burger. The side of poutine was good overall. Nice generous amount of cheese curds. It was topped with a healthy amount of gravy, which made the fries a bit soggy for takeout but still tasted good overall. The gravy was a bit too salty for me initially (low sodium diet, so more sensitive to salt), but my taste buds adjusted after a few bites, and it was pretty easy to finish the poutine afterwards! Overall, it's a great burger joint in Morden, and it's well worth a try if you haven't...
Read moreBased on glowing recommendations, I visited Moment in Thyme Neighborhood Grill, especially for their Angus beef hamburgers. My expectations were high, and while the place and service lived up to the hype, the food fell a bit short.
The atmosphere was inviting, and the staff were attentive and friendly, creating a pleasant dining experience. However, the food leaned more toward the greasy side, overshadowing the flavours I had hoped for.
That said, I believe in giving places a fair shot, especially when the service and ambiance are as good as they are here. I’d definitely like to return and try something else on their menu—I’m hopeful my next visit will be more in line with the...
