A prime example of car culture dependency.
This Canada Day weekend I made the grave error of patronizing the Morden location of the very much not Canadian owned Tim Hortons.
At around 10am on a Saturday, this place was already filling up, but it would become clear that capacity was not the issue here.
I managed to get in line behind only 2 other customers, but as I waited, I observed the back of house staff scrambling to serve the increasing line up of cars in the drive thru.
As more cars pulled up, the wait inside increased. To account for this demand, the front of house staff was pulled from the service counter to help in the back, leaving the customers inside to wait awkwardly and without explanation.
It would be an astonishing 30 minute wait before I had the chance to speak with any staff to place my order, with only 2 customers in front of me. Yet all the while they were pumping out orders to the line up of cars outside that was now spilling onto the street blocking traffic.
Gone are the days of customer service, and into the age of lazy consumerism convenience we go.

Read moreReally hit and miss. Some times things are great but often they’re not. Got a bagel belt with 1 peice of bacon on it. Lunch sandwiches are often messy and poorly put together. The night staff is usually friendly, but there is a day (morning) manager that is just miserable. At first thought it was just a bad day, but for years now she has the same attitude every day. We started going to Winkler in the mornings to avoid her bad attitude tainting the start of our days for a while. Now we usually go later in the day but am not surprised When greeted by her miserable attitude if we go in the morning. If you correct them on a mistake (putting cheese on something ordered with no cheese due to allergy), they act like it’s your fault and are very rude about it. Once in a blue mood everything is right and they are pleasant during the day. Around midnight they are always pleasant...
Read moreVery disappointed about this location! I ordered a 105cup coffee container to pick up today (Sunday) at 12.30pm. Two employees took the order couple days ago, I was there in person to make sure it’s all arranged and will be ready for pickup. Upon arrival today to pick up they tell me they don’t have any order and have no coffee ready for me. After talking to the manager and telling him where to look for the order he found it written down in their order book. Nobody cared about getting this ready for us. I had over 100 people waiting for coffee but did not get any. Very dissatisfied with their service. I know where I...
