We live 10 minutes outside of Morris, called to order some delivery last night. I asked if this was okay as they were 1 1/2 an hour from closing and I had a hunch they would refuse. Woman on the phone said it was okay. I was called back within 5-10 minutes that they have a minimum spending requirement for delivery, I say that's fine and we will add items to meet it. Then I was told they actually have "no delivery drivers". So is it part of your business model to accept delivery orders with no drivers or was it (more obviously) a lie? Incredibly dishonest for no reason, I would've felt a lot better if they were honest in refusing outright (especially the insinuation that I could not afford the delivery). This also happened to my partner last week when they accepted to deliver but then phoned shortly after that they could not and we would have to pick it up.
Food is adequate but over-priced for small portions. When I went to a more renowned greek restaurant in Winnipeg I was shocked by the quantity we received for cost after becoming accustomed to Santa Lucia as one of my only local options. Since the restaurant is in a repeated position to refuse our patronage, we will be seeking out other restaurants in the surrounding area in the future. Santa Lucia Morris is clearly doing well enough to turn down service/customers (after they already said yes in the first place). I would suggest changing to no deliveries outside of the town instead of basing that decision on inconsistent...
Read moreWill never order from here again. Ordered a ham and cheese pizza. We don’t live in Morris and were passing through. When we got home, we noticed the pizza didn’t look like a typical Santa Lucia pizza. It looked like a cheap frozen pizza had been heated up. AND there was no ham. Instead it was full of salami. Slices of salami and then chopped up little pieces of it every where. It was super weird, sloppy, and not what we ordered. I called the restaurant to explain and ask for our money back. They offered to make us a new pizza but I explained we don’t live there. Then they questioned whether it was in fact ham on there and I just thought it was salami. I assured them I wasn’t raised under a rock and can tell the difference between ham and salami. Even still, they only offered to give me a refund if I shared photos (to prove it was salami 🙄) and came in person. Come on - I live an hour away. Skip this place. If that’s the quality of customer service then who knows how they’re treating the...
Read moreDrove into Morris from the city to meet family half way for an early dinner (430p). There was one other table with 2 people that came in after us. Took the waitress a while to come get our order and she wasn't overly pleasant about it. One person at our table requested a BLT. It was on the lunch (before 3pm menu) but we thought given the lack of customers they'd make an exception. The lady told us it was to busy to make a BLT (for those of you who don't know that's a sandwich with bacon, lettuce and tomato). He ordered something else.
We requested plain penne pasta tossed in butter for our toddler as a kids menu was not available. We were given grief about that but they made it happen.
Eventually the restaurant had 5 tables including us sitting down to dinner. At this point we were pretty much done and ready to go. The waitresses disposition eventually turned around so maybe she was just having an off day. Likely won't return, the customer service was a...
