Today I decided to give Ches' Mt. Pearl one more chance, since my last visit was very dissappointing and after phoning in the order, I still had to wait 15 minutes. I ordered two 2 piece fish and chips and was disgusted with what was on the plate. Two pieces of fried batter, about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide with a small piece of fish in the center smaller than a cod nugget. It was tasteless like it never saw the salt shaker. The clerk was indiffernant and the words please and thank you were not uttered. To think this service only cost me $ 39.08 ( basicly it was for two french fries ). This was their last chance. They were black, soggy and soaked in grease to the point you could ring out the fat. Truly! Threw them in the trash. I am commenting on the Commonwealth Ave store. There is NO way they change their cooking oil regularly. No bloody way! How can you get golden fries when your cooking oil is..black! I can only imagine a tourist being served these fries or anybody else for that matter. Will be contacting Cathy Barbour tomorrow. NEVER, EVER again will I be a customer. The staff are really friendly and wants to get their 40 hours of work instead of giving t0 sponsored people's thanks to the government.
