A&W Canada — Restaurant in Municipality of Russell – Binscarth

I had A&W 2 days ago because I haven’t had it in a while. I got it in Calgary at the mall and it was one of the best fast food experiences i’ve ever had. Sweet Potato Fries were crispy, Burger was flavourful and the bun was warm and toasted and even though it was busy, we got our food in a reasonable amount of time. I wanted to get A&W on the way home from my trip and stopped by the one in Russel MB. I wanted to get the same order I had a few days ago so I ordered a teen burger combo with sweet potato fries and 2 spicy chipotle wraps. Damn I was so sad. The burger patty was cold and the bun itself tasted like it has been out exposed to air for the whole day. Mind you, I’m making this post 10 minutes after eating my meal. The sweet potato fries didn’t even taste ready because they still had that soft mushy texture instead of being sort of fluffy but they were crispy so I give those a pass. One of the chipotle wraps was perfectly made. The other had barbecue sauce or something? I’m not sure but it didn’t taste too much like chipotle sauce and it wasn’t pleasant. There were 2 workers while it was sort of busy so I suspect management is poor at this establishment. Train your workers...

Me and my partner went to the A&W location in Russell, MB and ordered two classic breakfasts. I wanted to order basted soft with rye toast, my partner ordered over medium without toast due to gluten intolerance (which was mentioned to the employee who clearly didn't understand what that ment and wouldnt offer a proper substitute), yet they only gave us four options for the eggs (over easy, medium, hard, or scrambled). The eggs we got were smashed cooked, hard as rubber with no soft yoke at all, the bread I got wasn't toasted, the bacon was like biting flimsy glass, and the coffees we got was essentially brown water. The food via drive thru has been great lately, usually they park you out front to wait a couple minutes and everything comes out fresh and hot . Unfortunately the "frozen/smoothie drink" machine has been broken since well before December (it's may) and the timeline for it being fixed changes every time we ask.
