barBURRITO — Restaurant in Nanaimo

This Location is piggybacking off the Port Place success . The two locations share the franchise name and that's about it . The line ups were long as expected as stated before they are reaping the benefits of the South End's success of great service and honest portions . After reading the honest accurate reviews I was hesitant but went regardless . I got the large burrito in which I usually can't finish . This Location has been instructed to give less than full portions especially on the protein, I watched them give at best half scoops of protein in each burrito they made while I was waiting , everything was skimpy and to be honest the jerk chicken was hard and dry , suspect it was left over from the day before . I finished the whole Burrito , the first time ever doing so . Port Place will be the only place I get my burrito going forward . I do suspect once the novelty wears off this new location , they will loose business and not have a loyal consistent customer base . I do hope thier business plan of maximizing profits from short changing thier customers on product doesn't hurt the Port Place locations...

Decided to check this location out yesterday. Thought I would do a trial run since it was my first visit, start with something small and easy to make. I ordered extreme fries. Told the guy all I wanted to drink was water. Never told me the only water is in a bottle or that there is a fee for it. I was charged for water, if I knew I would be charged I would have declined it. When he was making the fries I told him no onion please. He starts arguing with me that onion is included with the dish. Onion was put on anyways. I am assuming this guy is one of the owners, appeared to possibly be the dad or Uncle of the younger employees. They had what sounded like Lebanese music playing in the place. Couldn't understand a word of it. Just like I can't understand the lack of customer service. Never argue with a customer. If the customer doesn't want onion, listen to the customer. Even if Bar Burrito normally includes it. They got me for $10, it is the last money they will ever get from me again, because I will not be returning to this...

Due to the continuous treatment of the Port Place location, I had sworn off Bar Burrito completely. Until I just happened to be near this location and decided to try it one more time. This place .... I drive from Cedar now, bypass your central Nanaimo location and go to this one. Where this one has smiling staff, port place are on the extreme side of miserable. Where this location has delicious food, put together nicely. Port gv me burnt, crunchy wraps and a mess in the box. Where this location gvs you a nice size meal with chips. Port gvs up a mess and a small handful of chips. Where this location will ALWAYS get a nice tip from me. Your Port location doesn't recieve 1 cent outta me. I'm known for tipping between $15.00-$20.00 everytime, when service is good. Thank you for being there.... staff from the other place should hv to learn through you about what customer service is. Thank you again for your smiles. I'll continue to drive from Cedar for the better food and by far better service. Great...
