Panago Pizza — Restaurant in Nanaimo

This one's sort of a split review for Panago Pizza and Doordash.

Panago Pizza has chosen to turn off special instructions for ordering their food off of doordash. This means that if you do have any special instructions, like for instance an allergy where you require a toping removed, you are supposed to call the store.

Panago does not have store specific phone numbers, so I called their main hotline, and they told me to talk to DoorDash support to get the topping removed, as they cannot remove the topping since it was placed through a third party.

To be clear - I was not asking for anything extra. I wanted them to remove. a. topping.

I spoke to doordash who told me they cannot change an order that has already been placed, and to cancel then order again without the topping, which cannot be done because special instructions is turned off. (to clarify, they also don't give a list of the toppings for removal).

I use doordash because I pay for dashpass, so I don't have to pay for delivery fees. In almost all of my other orders through doordash, I don't have any problems like this, so this is unique to Panago Pizza, which is why this review is for them. Definitely will not be ordering...

Ordered a pizza as i have been doing from this location for 10 years, when i looked at the pizza it looked the same as usual, it wasnt until i took a bite that i realized it was barely cooked and very doughy. I put it in my own oven to try and cook it a bit longer to make it edible, but it was still really doughy. Could not finish eating it. On top of that i ended up with serious gut rot all night. The icing on the cake, they gave me the wrong dipping sauce.

I dont know what it is, ive been coming here for years but the standard is much lower than it used to be. Could be the foreign worker employees simply dont care, or perhaps bad work ethic, but i am noticing a trend at these establishments that have been taken over by foreign students / cheap...

I love the new menu they've come out with. The veggie option. By far the best pizza I've tried in all my 20 some years ordering from delivery places. The design of the box is even nice, with places for shakers and dips. I highly recommend this experience! More than anything else, they actually gave me a full feeling without the grossness. Believe me when I say that was appreciated. Good pricing too. I was driven to write this review after me and my girlfriend raved about them and the whole experience and their new organic juice that tasted better than store bought juices. Everything...
