An odd place, large space inside but empty when we reached with one older gentleman there. We were passing through and wanted to support the small business. We ordered one beef, chicken and egg fried rice dish. Price was $50 with tip. After reaching our campground in sleeping giant we opened the food and were extremely disappointed. I counted an abysmal 6 tiny pieces of beef in the $15+ beef dish and similar for the chicken one, mostly large cut veggies. The rice dish was not even filled halfway of the styrofoam container. Food tasted passable but I would never recommend, you’d be better served at a gas station. When passing through again back to Toronto, and as I’m writing this review, I’m across the street trying out the pizza and salad at a diner for half the price and am far more impressed. If I were you I wish I had read a review like this so I could keep driving right on by.

Passing through and craving some Chinese. Reviews seemed like either biased haters or supporters of the business figured how bad could it be? Place is a dive, staff was friendly, locals were inside having a good time. Ordered beef and brocolli and shrimp chow mein to go. Was almost disturbingly fast service like ready in less than 10min as I waited. When I stopped to eat, the plastic bag was full of broth like wonton soup which is weird. Both items had broth in the styro containers, beef looked boiled, chow mein had no noodles?! Positions were very small for main dishes that were over $30 total bill. Very bizarre overall. But I will say it taste fresh and natural enough although a bit bland.

Ordered take-out. Beef chop Suey ($18)and pho($15). Was very quick. Sadly, the pho was given in a cardboard bowl that leaked out into the bag within 5 minutes. Lid wasn't able to stay secure either. Been sprouts are shrivelled and brown, but broth, noodles, and meat were okay. Chop Suey looks sad....veggies did not look or taste fresh. It was mostly soggy cabbage and the same shrivelled sprouts. I ate what was palatable. They offered to have me come back for new pho into 2 small plastic to go containers but I was already out of town. Sadly my first meal with healthy meat and veggies (instead of burger or sandwich) on my cross country trip was a fail.

I placed an order over the phone and 15mins. later they called me to say it was ready. I picked up my order paid with my Visa and upon leaving the woman came running out after me saying it was not accepted but I was sure it was. Anyway I paid for it again on my Visa and this time to her satisfaction it was paid for. I didn't quite feel comfortable with the whole situation and told her I think I paid twice for my order. So, we agreed that the next day when the transaction would show up on my Visa I would check my computer and see if both transactions were accepted and if so I would come back and we would reverse the transaction. Sure enough I had paid twice, later that afternoon I grabbed my laptop and I went in to tell her that I had been charged twice and that I could show her on my laptop. She was so embarrassed about the situation she just automatically paid me back the 62.56 that I over paid her for but instead of reversing the transaction back onto my Visa she gave me the cash. This is when I realized they are new to the interact transaction machine but I did find it rather funny that she was just giving me my money back on my word to her alone because she never even looked at my laptop to see for herself that what I had said was true or not. I refused to leave without showing her that I had paid for it twice. It turned out to be my lucky night though they had a buffet set up and she brought me out a container and said help yourself to the buffet. I did, but when I went to pay for it she thought I hadn't taken enough food so she opened my container and filled it so much I could barely close the lid. She was a very friendly and warm welcoming owner who was terribly embarrassed about her mistake. I find the food is good and I will return again but I don't think I would eat there. The place is quite dull and dingy and is in desperate need of a facelift. The food is average but if you have a craving for Chinese food it will do in a pinch because the next closest Chinese restaurant is an hour...

The reason why I'm giving this a one star is because there isn't any lower rating.

The can of Pepsi we had was a five star nice and cold.

The chicken balls at 14.95 consisted of a majority of matter. The Cherry sauce that went on them was runny and one container for the order.

The honey garlic ribs were grisly and appeared to be pieces of the end of some cut of meat. They were not tasty and for $15.95 was a total disappointment.

The chicken fried rice was good as was the chicken chow mein.

The place is tidy and clean but if you're looking for good Chinese food this isn't the place to stop.

It's very difficult for me to give a poor rating like this as I'd like to support local businesses and small towns but these folks need to step...
