Wow—what a pleasant surprise! I had never heard of the Mount Brenton Pub before, but it has officially made my top 3 for pub food. The portions were absolutely massive, everything was cooked to perfection, and you could really taste the freshness in every bite. And the best part? The prices were better than a lot of fast food spots—seriously impressive.

The staff were clearly busy (this place is popular), but they were so kind and attentive. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but they checked on us regularly and even brought us drinks while we waited. It felt like they really cared.

Even though I didn’t play golf, I was surprised to learn that the pub is open to everyone—no membership needed. The setting is gorgeous too, with views of the golf course adding a special touch to the experience.

After a long day of work, I just want to get some food. This place was still open, so I go in and order fish and chips and soup of the day. After 30 minutes wait time, I asked one of their staff, Linda, about how much longer I'd have to wait. The answer was "look how busy we are" and "you will have to wait". I asked how much longer again and she rudely just walks away from me without even looking at me. Is it because I'm in a work coverall with dirty hands ? Is it because she's a racist ? Linda should work on her behavior and customer skills before she ever has customer contact again. I paid for my pepsi, left the place and NEVER will recommend nor visit this place again !!! Tomorrow, there will be a conversation with their manager for sure. Avoid at all cost if you want to be treated normal. And no matter what their owner respondsnti this review, I'm telling the truth ! They won't see me again and I won't recommend...

VERY spotty service (see update below). Food is typical bar food, so not bad but not great. Wings special on Wednesday is fabulous, and honestly, the only reason that I go to this establishment. Beer is very reasonably priced. The place does get very loud. The patio is wonderful during the summer. Overall, not a bad place.

Update: quality of service is very dependent on who you get as a server. Our server today was atrocious, and same as last week. The tables who came in after us, got their drinks and we did not even get our menus. Those same tables got their checks and left, and we were still waiting for our drinks. The bar was half empty at this time. My advice is if you sat down and 10 mins passed and no one acknowledged your existence, move to a different table. Ask which table Chayla, Walker, Bonnie or Charlee are serving as they are your best bets for...
