OKay...so not a bad place. It's a combination Take-out/Drive-Out/Eat-in restaurant. It's clean & the staff are pleasant. Service is quick; maybe 20 minutes from seating to eating.
It's not fancy.....50's/60's diner appeal. There is a more formal dining room...but it was closed.
Now, whether by mistake, ordering issues what have you, their claimed "Best Fish & Chips on the North Shore" could not be verified because they "ran out" of fish (there were two types on the menu, but both weren't available. Fair enough; errors happen....and our server was quite apologetic.
The fallback was their Lobster Roll Platter. It was okay, but not the most flavourful lobster.....odd since Prince Edward Island is just ramping up their lobster season.
We've been on the Island for 4 days and most everywhere was serving fresh handcut French fries.....somehow we received "crinkle cut" which, although not bad, were certainly nowhere near piping hot (despite the only part of the dish that required heat), and were reminiscent of frozen, bagged fries.
Coleslaw is coleslaw......but not very brilliant in colour or flavour.
$41.00 for two Lobster Roll Platters and a canned soda.....probably about $10 overpriced BUT the Cavendish Beach area hasn't quite opened up for the season so accommodations & dining is...

The service was good. The food quality for the price was, sadly, very unsatisfactory. The only highlight was the "fish" part of "fish and chips," which was fresh and tasty. However, the rest of the meal consisted of (microwave heated) frozen peas and flavourless, dry mashed potatoes. My wife's pan fried haddock was dry and flavourless too, and her fries were from frozen also.
Now, this would be OK if the prices reflected the food quality. But they don't. You can go to excellent restaurants within 30 minutes' drive that are among the best seafood spots on Earth at exactly the same prices.
My advice: Skip this one and go somewhere...

The glasses were quite spotted and the knives had a weird bubbles on it as if they were painted silver. It was a little conversation at the table that had some of us scratching our heads.
The food served was okay. Gravy seemed lacking flavor as well as mash potatoes. There was nothing fancy about the restaurant.
Too bad Pedros was closed. Much looking forward to going to at...
