Winners World/Winners One Stop — Restaurant in Nova Scotia

Food is okay, not chef quality, but more quick service, cafeteria style, not really restaurant but more the re- heat and repeat kind of fare. This is not a scratch cookhouse kind of meals for most items, mostly premade and plated and reheated to order, as with many "restaurants" these days, except bacon and eggs, steaks, liver, fish, and sandwiches. It can be quick and convenient. They do have specials that are cooked fresh the day of, when special occasions occur such as Valentine's Day or mother's Day, the quality is of a higher standard for specials, although the regular menu is always available. It's good and service is okay for what they serve, they match their menu to their clientele, and they definitely have their own kind of followers such as the morning breakfast mostly just hangout for coffee kind of...

I took my children for dinner there, I ordered a burger and very specifically said "no onions, I hate them a lot!" I got a burger with the largest amount of raw onion I have seen in my life. It seemed they loaded it up with onion on purpose! I didn't eat it and sent it back because i didn't want them to scrape it off and bring back the same burger and my kids would be done eating by the time a new one was cooked. So I didn't eat that night. We asked to eat outside and they didn't even wipe the table off for us! It was so dirty my hand was black from leaning on it. I was so disappointed I started to cry because I had been camping with three kids for 10 days and I hadn't eaten yet that day tearing down our campsite and ALL I wanted was food I didn't have to cook and a clean...

Finished our meal and wanted the check. One waitress was working three tables and then went to the business phone for a while. There was another waitress sitting at the counter on her cell phone. She was wearing the restaurant uniform. After a few minutes, I went up to her and asked for help. She said she was off the clock. I asked if there was another to help us and she said no. I asked her if she cared about us. She asked me to leave. My wife paid the bill with the other waitress while she was still on the company phone. As we were leaving, another customer who was delayed and not happy either told me he was being respectful. The chowder was good, according to my wife. My liver and onions was not.
