I stayed here in January 2025 for a night on business. This is your run of the mill Tru by Hilton. Smaller, more efficiently designed rooms, smart amenities, all to keep that all important price down while still maintaining quality that one expects from a Hilton. This particular one is unique in that thereโ€™s a waterslide in the pool area (and hey people, not all Trus have pools) and this one has two meeting rooms.

The location of this hotel is great for anything you need to do in Yarmouth. I had a few accounts to visit and needed to space things out over two days so had no choice but to overnight. I got in late but was fortunate to find a Boston Pizza a few minutes down the road open late.

Where this one let me down is service and the passion for the brand. While I digitally checked in meaning I got a key on my phone, I did not interact with one single member of staff at this hotel. Not even a simple greeting from the PM front desk agent, breakfast attendant, or the AM front desk agent.

From there, there are things at this Tru that were so incredibly tacky and off putting that I hope they reconsider their choices. The breakfast food prep area was left open and when I walked by, I noticed its sparsely furnished, ceiling tiles missing with air ducts just hanging down, and overall just messy inside. Wasnโ€™t a great feeling eating breakfast the next morning prepared in that kitchen.

Thereโ€™s an added information video board in the business center on top of the usual brand approved one in front of the elevators. This one in the business center was incredibly tacky with adverts for various businesses in the area as well as flight info out of the Yarmouth airport across the street, which had no flights for multiple days while I was there also making this weird.

Then comes the random trinkets they have for sale around the lobby. While I can appreciate artwork, theyโ€™re taking the lobby Eat Sip market to a whole new level selling First Nation art such as dream catchers tackily hung on the walls or in a cheap looking display case in the business center. They also had a Red Bull (or similar brand) standup cooler added to the brand standard grab and go coolers that was comically out of place. While I appreciate the creativity this is not a good reflection of what Trus are supposed to be and was just so tacky it felt more like a money grab than anything else.

This all sounds like I didnโ€™t like the hotel however if my travels bring me back to Yarmouth in the future I will not hesitate to stay here again, it was a...

Before I begin my review, please be aware that if you use Waze as your GPS, it will take you to the wrong address and you will be sitting in the Comfort Inn Parking lot about a mile from the Tru by Hilton! I called the Tru by Hilton and a wonderful young lady named Stephanie answered. I explained our dilemma and she quickly guided us to the correct address telling us that because the hotel address is rather new, other guests have been experiencing the same issue. (When you get off the 103W, turn left and the hotel is down a ways on your left just passed the Honda Dealership). ||That said, my husband and I have been travelling for about a week - a road trip from Ontario to the East Coast and have met many friendly people. The warm and sincere welcome we received for Stephanie has been the MOST memorable. She informed us about the breakfast area/hours, where the elevators were located and where we could find a nice place to have dinner. Stephanie assigned us Room 329 and it was perfect for our stay! Clean hardwood floors, ironing board, iron, large flatscreen tv, fridge, microwave, 2 nicely made queen beds, lots of storage for your personables. The bathroom was large and bright with lighting around the mirror, great sized vanity counter, nightlight, plenty of white fluffy towels, hair dryer and great shower. I love the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, hand soap and body cream the Tru by Hilton offer! Lots of electrical plugs in the room! ||On our way to dinner, we were greeted by Stephanie who was offering us a goodie bag with treats and two bottles of water to celebrate a special occasion we were having. She is a real asset to this hotel.||The breakfast included was excellent - pancakes, eggs, crisp bacon, toast, bagels, pastries, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, cereal, etc. The seating area directly near the breakfast buffet is limited but there are other places in the foyer to enjoy your breakfast. ||Next time we are in Yarmouth, this will definitely be our "go to place". Can't recommend it enough! Thank...

This hotel was great. Very clean and tidy and good service. Despite a couple negative experiences weโ€™d likely go back as my daughter(5years old) loves the pool and water slide. I did miss having a coffee machine in the room. And I feel like Birthday parties should take place between 11-4 so hotel guests that are leaving at 11am can have a chance to get a swim in before checking out. On the morning of checking out we were only at the pool from 8:30-8:55 because we were unaware a birthday party was happening that morning and that hotel guests would be kicked out of the pool area. On our first day we went to the pool around 8pm and around 9pm my daughter ended up stepping on glass, which I later learned was from a little girls glass goggles that had fallen and shattered. The lady at the front desk was able to get a pair of tweezers for us and gave us a band aid. She then said she was going to close the pool area and get the glass cleaned up. When we had went down to grab some drinks later my daughter went to the front desk to let them know she was doing ok. I had asked if they were able to get the glass cleaned up as we seen the pool was open and she said she went in and didnโ€™t see anything. I figured the girls parents must have cleaned it up. The next morning we went to the pool and ended up sitting where we were the night before. My daughter looked to the area she stepped on glass and noticed the pile of glass along with random pieces scattered around. So that leaves me to believe that the front desk lady either didnโ€™t believe us or just didnโ€™t go look. The lady who we showed on this day seemed shocked and said sheโ€™d get it cleaned up. Iโ€™m sure if we go again my rating would be higher as Iโ€™m hoping thereโ€™d be no negative...

My husband and I first arrived at TRU Sunday late afternoon. We stayed 2 days. This is the only complaint for staff. We saw a staff member outside sitting smoking, and she saw us walk in but did not follow, I had a hunch she was the front desk staff. The front desk was empty, and we rang the bell. We waited over 7 minutes to find out it was the staff member that was sitting outside. We understand that sometimes, front desk staff have a responsibility that is hard to manage breaks, but someone should have been in her place while she was having hers. While in the lobby, we admired how vibrant, inviting, and trendy the sitting areas were. The room was small and cozy with a mini bar fridge, which was great! The shower was small but roomy. It was clean and the shampoo, conditioner, soaps, and lotion were great smelling! The only thing is you couldn't shut the fan off in the bathroom, and it buzzed all night, even with the door shut. The view from the room was average. The scenery wasn't great. We received three texts while there to see how everything was, which was a nice touch. Breakfast was served from 6am to 10am, and it was very good. Mini omelets, bacon, sausage, many kinds of breads, automated pancake maker with all the sweet or fruity toppings, pastry, fruit, yogurts, juice and cereals. Free coffee and tea 24/7. The exercise room was clean and roomy. The pool was just a nice size, and it was not busy when we went in. They had a slide for kids or adults....๐Ÿ˜Š a jacuzzi would have been nice, too. The hotel was in walking distance to local stores. Over all we were happy to escape and enjoy some quality time together.

This was overall the best hotel we stayed in during our vacation. It is beautiful. Gorgeous lobby. So much cool stuff including swinging basket chairs. Decor is bright, colorful and cheerful. Fun! It's also in a great location, close to everything. Fabulous room. Looks small at first, but actually has lots of space. Super clean. Awesome bathroom. Gorgeous glass and tile walk-in shower with rain shower head. Lovely toiletries by Not Soap Radio, they smell amazing and just fit the vibe of the room. Hooks on wall for hanging stuff. All white lovely towels and bedding. Wood laminate floor. Lots of charging outlets. Absolutely wonderful staff. You can tell they all love where they work. They're all happy, they go out of their way to talk to you even when they are on a break. Such a pleasure to deal with, each and every one of them. The hotel was quite full while we were there but it was completely quiet at night. Lovely breakfast area in lobby. The usual breakfast offerings, but they will make you something special if you have food restrictions. They also have a pancake machine which works by some sort of magic, so that was fun. The breakfast attendant is terrific. The only issue we experienced was the internet wasn't great, our devices lost connectivity several times each day. Easily remedied though by just connecting again. All in all, we loved this hotel and would definitely stay there again if we go back to Yarmouth. This was our first time at a Tru hotel, (though not our first at Hilton) and we will definitely seek out other Tru hotels after this experience.
