My wife and I dined at Burger Theory on the evening of May 12th, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. As vegetarians, we often find our choices limited at burger joints—but not here. From the moment we stepped into the warm, inviting atmosphere on the ground floor of the Holiday Inn & Suites in Oakville, we felt welcome.

Special mention must go to the hostess—Lisa, if memory serves—who was exceptionally kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. She patiently walked us through the vegetarian options and made us feel right at home. It's rare to find such thoughtful service, and it truly enhanced our dining experience.

The food itself? Outstanding. Flavorful, satisfying, and clearly made with care. Every bite was a reminder that vegetarian cuisine doesn’t have to compromise on taste.

I had a somewhat enjoyable experience at Burger Theory. The night I went was during our largest snow storm this past winter, not many walking options from our hotel. I think the food here is not bad, the fries are perfect. You got the straight cut fries that are perfectly crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. And surprisingly a decent portion size. Where I took a star was with the burger, typically I judge the classic cheeseburger. And I was pretty disappointed by it, it's not horrible by any means, but it was just simply okay. The burger patty was not well seasoned, I think the patty was a little too charred which took more points from the flavour and texture. It was quite a dry patty. My wife's fish burger, had a bite and that was excellent. This could easily be just a one off, but if I were to come back, I would go for fish over beef. Ordered a Panko Fish Sandwich for takeout with a salad. Provided a very large tip, but instead got battered fish with fries. Even though she did give me a salad with it, this was not my order and quite disappointed. Won’t be tipping again. Asked me if I wanted ice with my drink, and a glass had to wait 5-10 minutes for it, even though I was sitting at the bar and she already provided the drink. Not sure why she decided to do so many different things last night between asking me to pay upfront before I received my order. Pretty disappointed with her service in the end.
