We really enjoyed the food we ordered, but the only issue was with the tacos. The portion size was generous, but the shells weren’t doubled up, so they fell apart almost immediately. Every bite caused the shell to crack and break, and more than half the filling ended up in the takeout container. Since we didn’t expect that, we didn’t have a fork handy and had to use our hands to feed our toddler, which made it quite messy. Anyone with a screaming and hungry toddler would know, dealing with a delicate and messy taco was not a good experience.
After seeing the reviews online, I noticed other reviewers photos of their tacos were doubled up, so it seems we were just unlucky this time. That said, the flavor of the taco specials yesterday was excellent, and our toddler especially loved the little pieces of pineapple in the taco. I was seriously considering not coming back here but I’m glad I saw the other photos to see how they’re meant to be served - double shelled! I’ll give this place...

This new-ish Mexican restaurant is absolutely fantastic! The food is incredibly delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with love. I recently had the beef quesabirrias; they were incredible! Everything tasted authentic and homemade, just like something you’d find in Mexico City (which makes sense since the owner is from there!).
It’s tucked away in an industrial area, so not many people know about it yet, but it’s 100% worth finding. It’s a small, family-run place with a warm and welcoming vibe. The owner was so friendly and clearly passionate about the food. You can tell they put love into every dish, especially the special homemade sauces, which were amazing.
Nothing about this place feels commercialized. It’s genuine, flavorful, and full of heart. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food made with care, this is the place to go. Highly...
Read moreEnjoyed brunch here yesterday during Día de Muertos, and there was a lovely festive atmosphere with some staff adorned with La Calavera Catrina face paint and a beautiful altar setup. They have a great selection of traditional Mexican offerings, which reminded me of some lovely breakfasts I've enjoyed around the Cholula / Puebla area a few years ago. We had the queso fundido as an appetizer, and ordered huevos divorciados and molletes -- everything was excellent! The molletes were likely my favourite, the pico de gallo has this incredible acidity and fragrant herbaceousness that made it so delightfully refreshing. The jamaica was likely the best I've had in Ontario, and the coffee (which was continually refilled) was surprisingly good, much better than most restaurants. The service was also excellent. Can't wait to visit again to try some of the...
