Chef's Door Premium Shawarma - Winston Churchill — Restaurant in Oakville

I had a craving for a good shawarma before the long weekend. During the long weekend, I enjoyed so much good food with friends and family. But I was still craving a shawarma.

So today I happened upon Chef’s Door Premium Shawarma after running some errands in the area.

I was very impressed when I saw 👀 that there was still a shawarma on the spit. That is a great 👍 sign because it was late afternoon around 3:00PM. And some places will have stored the shawarma in the fridge and then reheat on the flat iron…. Some places mind you not all do this.

But here I can see the fresh shawarma spinning away and that is always a good 👍 sign. And I was right. The chicken shawarma was well seasoned and it was delicious 😋. It was not dry but juicy and packed with flavour.

The key to a really good shawarma is the use of fresh ingredients and accoutrements. They are fresh here folks. All the veggies 🥗 were perfect 👌. The sauce was just right, just enough to elevate the flavours and taste of the shawarma without overpowering your taste 👅 buds.

The service was friendly and helpful. They get 10 stars ⭐️ all day long.

I love it when a local business owned by hardworking owners serve up good and honest food. They deserve our support.

By far 5 out of 5 more if it was possible. My father talks about this place offten, how he enjoys them way better than other big competitors. Today I decided to give them a try and was delighted with my visit to Chefs Door. the employee greeted us as we walked in, very friendly and informative about any questions I had. I respect and see the hard work shown in this establishment and would HIGHLY recommend this wonderful shawarma to anyone craving middel eastern food love. My chicken wrap was made well stuffed to its ends thought it would bust at the seams and that is a good thing, while I was waiting for my food to be made I was given a sample of some chicken and MAN this food has Flavour anyone who says they lack flavour has a taste bud issue. For me that hot sauce was perfectly hot too too hot but I would suggest maybe having a second option of a hotter sauce for those who just love crazy spicy and they can choose the "suicide" sauce or what ever you wish to call it. As well as Maybe getting a side road sign to highlight your store a bit as it can be hard to find/see in that plaza. All in all a guaranteed 5 out of 5 stars and WILL BE GOING BACK...

I'm giving two stars because for a long while, I'd say about 5 months ago or so, the service and the food, and the prices were STELLAR. However; in the recent weeks, the service has been less than sub-par, and the quality of the food has declined to match the service. Prices still great, though. My partner went in recently and asked for the sauces on the side, which, we both believe to not be a difficult or impossible task. But the server told him "no", and acted like we requested his SIN number instead of sauce on the side. My partner chucked it up to a bad day for the guy. No big deal. He went back again recently, and asked for his potatoes in a separate container, explaining that he doesn't like when the sauce from the potatoes runs into the rice, salad, etc. He's kind of picky but it is what it is. Again, this caused a massive issue for the gentleman behind the counter. He ended up not giving my partner the extra container. Not sure what the problem is lately, but it's made us go...
