Garbage serviceā¦. I asked one of the servers for wings and she replies with āyou know Iām not your server right?ā Iāve never felt so idioticā¦. So what? Iām supposed to jump up and wave my hands and arms until my bartender notices me? She could pass my order on? When I got the wings the blue cheese was quarter filled. Service here has really fallen and on top of that to be spoken to so rudely by some miserable old server is just beyond me. I will never step food into this establishment again. Do yourself a favour and go to other bars especially where the server isnāt critical of you asker her to get you an order of wings. The manager however is a sweat heart and did attend to my every need. I just didnāt appreciate the attitude of the other old server, sheās miserable rude and couldnāt be bothered. Also I had returned to this establishment for a beer on august/11/2023, between 7:00pm and 7:30pm oh boy was I confronted by the miserable server again. This time telling me how I wrote a bad review and asked me āwhy I came back if I said I wasnāt going to step foot in there againā lol. This kind of behaviour seems to be encouraged. She also stalked by reviews from other establishments and said I left other reviews lol. So a customer who had a terrible experience returns and you confront them? Thereās also cameras so the owners could look it up if he seems to care, but judging by the attitude of the old miserable woman Iād assume itās all swept under the rug. Apparently at the bar you are suppose to order from your assigned server and thatās it. Asking someone else will equal to a rude response of ā you know sheās your server right?ā Lol what a joke. That old woman has some kind of chip on her shoulder. The owner can view the surveillance and see the encounter first hand and if thatās his way of providing customer service then by all means I guess Iām wrong. The time and date has been written and based on what she said Iām not supposed to return cause of this review so if you have something to say about the service just donāt I guess. Instead of improving there service so my review becomes a positive one I guess itās better to confront someone about your terrible...

Firstly, I acknowledge your right to offer a review of the food and effectiveness of the service at the restaurant. That is between you and them.
But, I am here to say that your characterization of the restaurant as racist is patently uneducated, uninformed, seemingly impulsive, dangerous and more importantly an irresponsible use of the privilege and right of any discriminated communities recourse to call out discrimination.
I am a brown man who calls Palermo my home pub. And I will share with you that I am one of many brown men and women who do the same. And more importantly, this community is compromised of many more humans of every race, ethnicity, age group, socioeconomic status, etc. who do the same. And we have for many years. And we have done so because the staff and patrons there have contributed to an environment that makes us all feel welcome and safe.
I acknowledge you may have had a bad experience. Fair enough. Over the course of our lives visiting restaurants we are bound to have poor experiences. And if you choose to express your opinion of that experience you owe it to yourself, your readers and the restaurant that you do so with maturity and professionalism. Especially to offer a review that is based on fact.
I can acknowledge that racism can occur in a moment. But to assign that label to Palermo requires you to provide more supporting data than you have offered. Because I can assure you, as a brown man, I will defend every single individual here. And based on your statistical approach to this, thereās more of us than you. Therefore Palermo Pub is NOT racist!
This is a community pub/restaurant and we will all defend the integrity and genuineness of this place. I encourage you to step out from behind your keyboard and come by again. My name is Ravi, ask for me. I donāt live far and I will show up. I will gladly take the time to share my experience of this place with you and hopefully allow for a more positive experience for you and your family should you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe did not enjoy our dining experience here for three major reasons. One, the food was not prepared well. Our nachos had cheese that was not melted and toppings were minimal compared to what you get at other pubs like Tin Cup or The Pump and Patio. Wings were cold when they were brought to us. This place is known for their wings so we were excited to try them but they took forever to come out and when they arrived they were cold and hard like they had been sitting out. This brings me to the wait staff. For the entire restaurant on a busy Friday, only two people were there to wait on a full house. I believe my food was cold because the waitress honestly just didnāt bring it when it was first made. Finally, the customer service is nothing compared to other Oakville pubs. It was clear patrons who frequent this restaurant are prioritized. Us newbies were not greeted when we came in. The waitress saw us and ignored us until I approached her to ask if seating was available. She responded in a rude manner saying the wait would be about half an hour and suggested we leave. I almost wish we had but we stayed and were seated within 5 minutes. This waitress made us feel like more of a nuisance then an appreciated paying customer. I should mention, we have young children and I could tell the waitress was less than enthusiastic about having young kids in the restaurant. I will be going to Tin Cup or the Pump and Patio the next time Iām in the mood for pub food. This place does not live up...
