Absolutely unacceptable experience. My family and I have dined here for many years, but will not return after our last take-out order. The chicken balls we received with our order were rancid, an undeniable taste and smell of bad chicken. We live in a rural area and out of disbelief decided to drive all the way back as the manager refused a refund without getting the food back. When we got there he literally opened up the food that my family had handled (in the middle of a Covid provincial lockdown) and ATE OUR LEFTOVERS, insisting the food was fine! And I think it goes without saying, anyone who would do that shouldn’t be working around food since their standards for sanitary practices are clearly low. Hate to think about what goes on in that kitchen, yuck! Not to mention he then only gave back 50% of the order total cost. Luckily not much of the food was eaten before we all realized it was bad, but two of us had unusual nausea and stomach discomfort for several days that parallels with mild food poisoning. Read moreI have been going to China King since it opened over 20 years ago. Those original owners sold the business to the current owners. At the beginning of the new owners taking over food was similar but different. And now the old China King flavor and style in my opinion has completely vanished! China King Chinese food is now just like all the other Chinese food businesses. The original China King flavor and style was so very different and of excellent quality and originality that made it my go to Chinese food of choice! Even when I moved up to the north end of Brantford, I still got my China King fix! Unfortunately the new China King owners are letting the old China King Owners and Customers down with the way they are making the food now. I hope they can make some changes to more closely reflect how the original owners made the food and if not I will not need my China King...
Read moreI've eaten in the Restaurant and love their food. But, the very first time I placed an order online they forgot one of my main items. With having to order through apps today, you can't just reorder the item, or it will cost you a fortune through the app. They need to triple check orders that are going out. There's no excuse for missing a main item in an order. Now I'm just short an item and all I get is a refund. Big deal. I wanted the food. There's no way for them to make this right by sending me what they missed, not when they're working through apps. I'm so disappointed I'll likely never order again.
