Heather's Place — Restaurant in Ontario

My party of 6 went here today as we've done in the past and enjoyed it. After today I'm honestly not sure when, or if, we'll be back.

The service was incredibly slow. The server had to be flagged down for coffee refills. It took 45 minutes for our meals to arrive . When they did, the home fries were undercooked and the eggs were overcooked.

I would have told the server our meals were inadequate but they never came to check.

I can put put up with slow service.

I can tolerate a horribly cooked meal.

I cannot tolerate slow service and a horribly cooked...

Fabulous Breakfast Diner. Filled with "locals" which is a very good thing. All you could wish for in a satisfying well prepared breakfast. I'm a sausage guy and there's are excellent. Looks like a family run business because I noticed Mom rolling cutlery at the bar LOL ! We drove past the others (Eggli.. & Dens...)on #62 then over the 401 and there the restaurant was on the North West side. Plenty of parking. Really nice homely diner. The pancakes were phenomenal- the best we’ve ever had. No idea how you guys make it that good! Also our first taste of actual maple syrup, we can only get the sweet stuff in the UK.

Only downside was the hollandaise sauce but we came to find that this was the case in several places across Ontario so I’m guessing it’s just an England vs Canadian difference in recipe, no biggy.
