Hoy's Chinese Cuisine Simcoe — Restaurant in Ontario

i have nothing nice to say about this restauraunt. when i went in and ordered food i pulled a chunk of hair out of my mouth. the food was so bland i couldnt taste the difference in anything i ordered. i will put an exception to the rice which tasted like cigarette smoke. when i asked i was told it was from "the smoke from the burners". if this is a new sanitary restauraunt under new management i would think the kitchen would be clean enough to not have a smoky taste in the food. i was later told by 3 people that have worked there that they do, in fact smoke in the kitchen. they just had their grand reopning but their sauces are expired by a few months. this place is GROSS!!!!

also replying to your response. i do know infact you smoke in the back because i know 3 people that work there that confirmed that you do. i understand defending your restauraunt but when i have more than one eye witness that have seen you smoke in the kitchen it doesnt add up. you also cannot deny me what i tasted in the food that i ordered. but you also dont seem the type that follows the customer is right and the customer should be happy with their services

Amazing Food! Amazing Service! The Young Girl with Glasses and Tattoos is an Excellent Server! Went in today for Lunch and came back for Dinner just because of how Amazing she is and was!

It was just her all morning and she did absolutely outstanding! Came back and she was still super Busy and doing an Awesome Job!

She was taking care of 8 different tables! She is a Pro!

She sat us. Took our orders. Got our drinks. Served us our Food! She was so Amazing! Number one Server at Hoys for sure!!

• Everyone needs to not be so Cruel to the Servers! They only have two feet and two arms! *

If someone tells you to take a Seat. That is YOUR SERVER. No one else is YOUR SERVER BUT THE PERSON WHO SITS YOU. So don’t be Cruel to other Employees when they didn’t even Sit you! Being Friendly and Respectful isn’t a Crime ☺️☺️.

I work in the Food industry and how it goes; is the same person sits you; takes your order; your drinks; and your bill. You have one Server. Not 5 🤣🤣.

So if you get told to sit by one Server. That is your Server. Not the others who didn’t take your Order.

A fantastic Chinese Restaurant right in the beautiful Township of Simcoe! Food is great & served plentiful. The pricing isn't too bad either. The Restaurant itself is well maintained, very clean & has the right ambiance for any setting. The reasons I didn't give it a perfect score was their menu pricing online was higher than their actual menu in-house. Additionally, any leftover food isn't packed by the staff as it is traditionally in most restaurants, but left up to the customer(s) to do so (I don't know if that's a safety protocol thing given the times we're in--but the staff never mentioned that, so I presume that's just the way it is here). Nonetheless, if one is in the Simcoe area, this Chinese Restaurant won't disappoint & is well worth the visit.

Update, March 18, 2023: Made a return trip here & the service/food both remained just as good as my last visit back in May of 2022 (please see my then review above).
