Mike's Delhi Submarine — Restaurant in Ontario

A couple weeks ago I sat down with owner Mike Mouskos of Mike's Delhi Sub to interview him for my March article of What's For Dinner Norfolk County in the Simcoe Advocate.

It was a fascinating interview. I got to learn all about Mikes' journey that brought him from Cyprus to Ontario in the 1970's and eventually to Delhi and opening his sub shop.

While I was there I got my favourites plus tried the fish and chips for the first time. I always get a super sub when I go. Usually with an order of battered mushrooms(not shown here). I also had a Giant Burger, Pork Soulvaki and for the first time ever the Fish and Chips.

If you are looking for a place to eat that's fast service and affordable prices(Mikes' prices are very low considering the current cost of food) and yet he has never compromised on the portions or quality.

great lil shop i have driven by many times and tonight i decided to give them a try, the only thing that i regret is that i drove past here for years without stopping in... i wish i had tried them sooner. the shop has that perfect small town atmosphere the people working there were super nice the man that made my sandwiches even shook my hand after the transaction. now to get to the food i ordered a club sub and a super sub. i had the super sub for dinner tonight and am saving the club for my lunch at work tomorrow. the bread was fresh and soft with just the perfect amount of chew, the veggies were fresh and looked to be cut by hand and the meat, the meat was piled high i definatly got my moneys worth and than some. this will be my new go to place every time i am going...

Really great food, service, and pricing. Even though there's not much topping varieties for their subs compared to Subway, Quizno's, and Mr. Sub, their subs taste a lot~ better than Subway's, Quizno's, and Mr. Sub's (And most likely any other sub shop). Best meatball sub I've ever had. I also love how they pack your poutine to go as well. They provide you with a cup of gravy you can put on yourself instead of having them put the gravy on right away like over 90% of other restaurants do, which can cause your poutine to get soggy and all that.
