Nick's — Restaurant in Ontario

Returning to Prescott after the eclipse Monday, we didn't want to wait for our pizza any longer than necessary, so we ordered ahead by phone. Once the order was placed we were told it would be ready for pick-up in 30 minutes

Unfortunately, there was only one young lady serving that early evening, and she was very over-worked. Not only did she have to take the orders of those who were eating in the restaurant; she also had to deliver their orders, and their bills; but she also had to process their payments and bus their tables; in addition to dealing with any pickup orders like ours

She was doing the best that she could under the circumstances. Unfortunately, for us, that meant an extra 15 minute wait to get and pay for our order. The management really needs to address their staffing issues. It was very poor customer service but it also, clearly, was not the fault of the young lady working out front

I called to place an order over the phone. When we were almost finished ordering we asked what kind of pie they had today. To which the woman on the phone replied “chocolate cream pie, and coconut cream pie, but can we make this quick I have customers in the dining room who need me”. That was the rudest response to a paying customer. I’m floored that’s how they talk to anyone. I guess the eat in customers are more important than the pick up orders. To boot, when we picked up, there were a whopping 3 people in the dining room. I won’t say their food was bad, cause it wasn’t thankfully. But let’s hope that was just a bad...

Wont be returning. Ordered after checking out online, only to show up and be charged more because of a supposed menu price increase (after showing their advertised prices online), whatever. Get home with our food: Club platter, no tomato, has half or more of a tomato all over it. Worst yet was my plate, a Hot Chicken Sandwich with mash and veggies. INSTANT Mash potatoes, what tasted (and texture) exactly like frozen/bagged veggies. Gravy was meh, and next to no chicken on the sandwich. Barely ate more than a third before...
