A typical day at Starbucks "Welcome to Starbucks, what can I do for you?, she introduces herself for the nth time with a phony smile on her lips. I see right through her and it leaves me a bit uneasy. Oh the things you could do for me I start to wonder. "I'd like an espresso", I order back to the barista in her green apron. "SIngle or 'doplio'?", she retorts with pride that she knows how to say something in [eye]talian. "Double!", I correct her, visibly already ticked off and that's not because I need my fix real quick. "For here or to go?", she asks again in a robotic voice. "Look lady, if I wanted it to go I'd be done with it before I hit the door!". People start to look at me, wondering who's this rude person? "Will there be anything else?". She's now starting to look like Bender to me. Next thing she'll be wanting me to buy one of their lame CDs. "No 'mam", I quickly reply nodding my head. "OK, that comes to $2.30" ca-ching Two freakin' dollars—I mumble to myself—for a lousy tasting coffee. Eh, beats Tim Horton's... Barista goes to the espresso machine, makes my coffee and slides it on the counter in a paper cup. "Whoa, in a ceramic cup, please", I demand. "Oh, I'm very sorry for that. Here you go..." "Where's the saucer? You expect me to lay the spoon on the table?" "Spoons? We don't serve spoons, I'm sorry and thank you for your order. Bye-bye", as she quickly dismisses me with that one-liner. I'm now grumbling in Portuguese in a low-voice while I stumble across with the 'doplio' espresso in one hand and a paraphernalia of gadgets in other, in a frenzied man-hunt for the sugar and a spoon-of-sorts. I finally find some brown sugar-cane sugar which is quite impotent, inert almost — 3½ sachets to be 'al dente'. Glup, glup, glup, all done! I almost light up but I notice the no-smoking sign on the door. Drats! I wish I was back in...
Read moreI have been going to this location for 4 years now but I will NEVER return to this location and here’s why. Multiple incidence with this one old barista. She’s rude and disrespectful and she absolutely shouldn’t be working at all. My first time trying the pick up feature on the app, I did not stop by the speakers and went directly to the window because I didn’t know. It’s one thing to inform people on their mistakes but something else when you say it with a very unwelcoming disrespectful tone and in front of your other co worker baristas too. Did she stop there? No. I went in person and asked her what cold foam they have today because they don’t always have all the cold foams available. She pointed at the wall and said whatever is up there and when I asked her “I haven’t been here in a while I don’t have my glasses can you tell me what cold foams u you guys have today?” , she very obnoxiously and quickly said the foams they had while avoiding eye contact, like srsly? Why? If you hate your job SO much why are you working there? MY LAST STRAW was when I went there and actually sat. Again, I didn’t know you’re not supposed to have outside food anymore as I genuinely haven’t been to Starbucks in a minute, she literally and very joyfully walks up to me and with a very loud tone, tells me that in front of all the customers. Seriously it was very embarrassing and demeaning. This woman has absolutely no class. Her attitude is DISGUSTING and although this was my favourite branch, I will never come back here again unless I get a formal apology. And btw, my friend also had a similar experience and knew exactly who I was...
Read moreI am NEVER coming back. Where do I start? the bathroom was very dirty and disgusting, now here's the worst part. I ordered my usual drink and a cake-pop to go with it there were a couple people in line before me maybe 2 or 3 so I expected it would be a 5-10 minute wait, I was completely wrong and found myself sitting there for 25 minutes. Of course I understand that there are people in the drive thru as well, but an 25-30 minute wait for two things one of which you could easily just throw in a bag and put on the counter should not be necessary. When I finally got my drink I waited another 10 minutes for my cake-pop and when I didn't get it I informed one of the ladies working before she started making another drink that my cake-pop was not there, she very rudely told me I had to wait in line on the other side of the room which wasn't a very long walk of course but there were multiple people in the line in front of me and why could you not just grab the cake-pop for me and give it to me there? After I waited in line for another 10 minutes I told the girl that took my order that I never got the cake-pop and she looked a bit shocked, walked to the drive-thru area, gave me the bag, and said sorry. The entire time my cake-pop was there but in a completely different section. I am disappointed and will not be returning and I hope the customer service...
