I've pondered why I'm far more appreciative of Chef Chris's cuisine than the couple of national breakfast chain locations. While there are a number of similarities on their respective menus, the quality of Chef Chris's food is always consistent with great seasoning exciting the taste buds!

On my 68th Birthday, Chris fixed me up with a Mexican Benny. Great way to start the day. See pix below!

The plaza at Bloomfield Road & Richmond Street has long held the distinction of being a go to place for Home Cooked quality meals for over a couple decades & the former home of Flapjacks!

Great quality cuisine returned in June 2023 with the opening of TEENA FAMILY RESTAURANT in the plaza. Chef Chris & Hostess Jana are serving a great selection of food with eclectic monikers, both tasteful & nutritious!

Extending their hours from 10AM to 8PM on weekdays and 8AM to 8PM weekends is still a rarity for most local diners. There's now abundant room with fresh renovations in their expanded dining area, back to the size of the building's former glory!

I genuinely love the food at this restaurant but the service here makes me want to rip my hair out. Every time I come here I’m always given the wrong menu item, they don’t have things in stock or the servers are just plain rude. I’ve gone in with a table of 4 and was told I should have made a reservation for a table over 6… I went in the next time and ordered a turkey bacon club and they said they didn’t have that on the menu… it’s on the menu?? This most recent time we did have a large reservation which we called in hours prior and it took 45 minutes to even get a glass of water. Our sever was incredibly rude to almost every person at our table and left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth. Boxes were given to us within 20 minutes of getting our food. Also don’t ask for a coffee because you’ll be given an attitude like my brother in law, or ask about kids sized items because this guy hates people or something and only answers in one word answers They need to train their staff how to actually to the bare minimum of their job because this place could be the best in town for lunch and breakfast, but their staff is just...

Was excited to try here as the food looked amazing online. Ordered the ribeye eggs Benedict special. Came over cooked and paper thin. The the whole dish was super soggy. I informed the waitress I was not happy and did not want the dish, I also did not want a remake. She came back shortly after and had said the kitchen is remaking it. I again said I did not want it. She said ok and said she would remove it from the bill. About 8 minutes later they brought out the food again. It looked better. However the people I was eating with had already finished and ready to leave. I left the food there and they still charged $20 for the meal. So I paid $20 to sit with family while they ate. Not very impressed.

As you can see they offered me $25 gift certificate. So my original money plus taxes. But forcing me to spend it...
