The Greek Grill — Restaurant in Ontario

I am writing this review in hopes of the restaurant making the necessary changes to make it more enjoyable and so that they will retain business. First off the food is excellent and I would highly recommend it, but the reason why I give it two stars is due to the service. On more than one occasion they have left the restaurant short staffed and when this happens you end up losing customers like I observed today when I went to pick up my take out order.

I was advised my order would take twenty minutes, but when I arrived I had to wait an additional ten minutes for it to be put together (so thirty minutes total). Normally that would not bug me, but the two people ahead of me complained about the same thing along with one lady that arrived after me. While we were all waiting to get our orders, I observed a group of four that were waiting for service get up and leave the establishment because they were waiting to long for service. The reason why this was an issue was because they had one person cooking and only one waitress who was taking orders, cashing people out, answering take out orders and putting the take out orders together.

We also went to eat in at this place a few months ago with our three and five year old children and had to wait an hour for two Greek Salads and chicken fingers and fries. Needless to say, if anyone has young children, you know how hard it is to keep children settled down for that period of time in a chair.

Again the food is excellent, staff just needs to be appropriate for the times when they are busy, which in both cases I mentioned were around...

My family and I have come here a few times now and we haven’t been more well treated and satisfied with the food and most especially the service. But today was a total upset when we had a different server than usual, maybe she’s new. Didn’t even greet us with a smile when we walked in, which is fine but the vibe was just off and you can tell. But we didn’t let that deter us and the food was immaculate. The problem came around to when we wanted a refill of the coffee and the server rolled her eyes and said she’ll have to make another pot and it’ll take 10mins trying to make us change our mind but I said “that’s fine, take your time” then a minute later she comes and says we don’t have any more paper filters for the coffee and not many people drink coffee here. We found that very weird and seemed like she just didn’t want to make another pot. Then I go to pay and she has the audacity to say “that was a $100 table, you know there was a tip option” I was completely caught off guard by that remark and asked for her to repeat herself because maybe I heard something wrong but nope, that’s exactly what she said. What’s mind blowing is she assumed she deserves a tip or the fact that I was going to give her cash from my mom but she just couldn’t control herself and then this whole ruckus began. As we are leaving she’s yelling “not even a dollar”. Overall, completely terrible service and I hope she learns a lesson and starts taking action to be a more professional server. Food was fantastic tho, props to the chef/cook. Appreciate this...

The food here was okay, but the waitress was completely disrespectful. We walked in with a woman who has an invisible physical disability that makes it difficult for her to sit on bar stools and when we asked to sit at a different table the waitress was rude and stormed off. She then spoke to her boss loud enough for us to hear her where she said "they dont want to sit at the high table" despite us telling her TWICE that we had someone who had difficulty getting on the chairs. I could not believe that someone could be so disrespectful and claim that not wanting to sit somewhere is the the same thing not be able to do so. Therefore I will not be going back here. I cannot support a place that will hire people that in 2019 are still not cognizant of peoples abilities and are willing to let a minor inconvenience for them, embarrass someone with a...
