Well...first my tea was luke warm. I asked her to heat it up for me. Some people don't know how to make tea. The water has to be boiling. Our food took a long time...but so did everyone else's I noticed. I ordered a toasted BLT that came with a side. I ordered fries but should have went for the salad. Fries were ok...nothing special. My sandwich was on the small side. Regular bread from a bag from the grocery store was used. Nothing special. I think my meal was $12-$13...that seemed high for what it was. My husband ordered the special... shrimp tacos...they were spicy. He was ok with it but I'm glad I didn't order that. The server didn't mention it was spicy and it didn't say on the chalkboard special. There was nothing on the table. My husband asked for creamer for his coffee. There was no sugar or catsup on the table. Only a roll of paper towels which is not very sanitary since you have to hold the next towel to take the one you need...at the very least you hold the edge (top of roll) these were not on a holder even! The server was polite and accommodating though...she just works there. This restaurant seems to focus on selling alcoholic drinks before anything else. Read moreWhen we arrived, there were only 2 couples in the restaurant and both already had their meals. After we came in, a few other couples arrived. After 45 minutes, my broasted chicken arrived AFTER other tables had been served. The fries were cold. My partner's meal did not arrive. It took another 5 minutes to get the waitress' attention. She said the chef had screwed up on the other dish and was just making it. She took my plate back because of the cold fries but it took another 8 minutes for our plates to arrive - with about half the amount of fries and by this time the chicken was luke warm. I won't be back.
Edit: in the end they only charged us half price for the meal, but it was deplorable service...
Read moreMy sister in law and I decided to take a drive yesterday, and ended up in Ridgetown so we thought we would give this place a try.
From the moment we arrived and were seated on the patio, we felt very comfortable.
We both ordered the mushroom soup as a starter, and as our main course, Judy ordered the pasta with meatballs and garlic bread, and I chose the mushroom swiss burger and fries, and they didn't disappoint.
Our server Jocelyn was very attentive and friendly, made us feel right at home.
We will definitely be back and will recommend this...
