Let's start from the beginning. Once you walk in you notice the amazing vintage decor and then you are welcomed by the most pleasant ladies I've ever had the pleasure of speaking to. We just got a small pepperoni and a slice of coconut cream pie. Pepperoni pizza- From first glance you wouldn't think much besides ours was in the shape of a heart for valentines which was the cutest thing. Then you grab a slice and notice the perfect cheese pull with the nice char on the crust. First bite you will notice the sauce, cheese and pepperoni. All the ingredients have a very high quality flavour about it. You can tell it's elevated by the care they put. THEN you get to the crust and really start to notice what they've done here. I can't pinpoint exactly what they do differently. I personally think it might be added egg yokes. Just wow though. Best American style pizza in Ottawa👏 Coconut cream pie(famous)- This one was hard for me because I work in a restaurant that makes these so I consistently try them. This was a really great pie but I did have one mild complaint. The average person would not notice these things but again I make/eat this pie on a weekly basis 🤣. The cream was chef's kiss but the pie filling had a tad bit too much gelatin in it. AGAIN this was still an unreal slice of pie and based on the price your really robbing the place. I also didn't sit down so I can't say much on the service except for the multiple amount of smiles all the employees had which really made you feel comfortable.

Tonight was my second time visiting this location. I haven't tried your cream pies yet (but i worked at a pie restaurant [Country Cousins where i served Pete Wence, Ashley Simpson and more in the future restaurants]) but they look beautifully. Beauty is deceiving and i know that you use an oil based whipped topping. How long do those display pies sit? Are they mouldy under neath? Do you know how to make and display and "overly showy fluff"; but for these reasons i will avoid your deserts. As for the pizza: Delicious but lacked the golden broiled look. Your employee's tend to stand and talk while my Boyfriend, Thomas and I (my plate empty and his as well. One slice left on the pan) waiting for you morons to learn your alphabets and put 3 + .0014 together. 0.314 is calculus for PIE. 0.314 = PIE. I'm pretty (33) and he's older (+60) but i act my age. Can you please put you're careers and professionalism before dying thirst to satisfy your inner critics (google this. You probably have PTSD). Do your job or please go on welfare. Sincerely Addams

Ordered a medium pizza a combination sub and 2 pieces of their “famous coconut cream pie.” This was my first time ordering from here so all I had to go off of was reviews, pictures online and the description on the menu, neither matched what we record. First off the lady who took our order was rude and rushed me through my order. The pizza we almost inedible with the amount of cheese they put on it, it was gross. The “famous” coconut cream pie was barely coconut. It was bland and just masked by a massive pile of whipped cream. Also received a lovely large piece of thick plastic film with my first bite. Homemade? Doubtful. The best part of the meal was the submarine which was also overloaded with too much cheese again. This is not a meal you can come back to for leftovers. Once cold, your sub/pizza has become an inedible blob of hardened cheese. For almost $60. I will not be returning. Less is more.

Louis' Pizza is like a warm hug from your favorite aunt—only better because it comes with a hearty, cheesy pizza**! 🍕 Let me tell you, this place isn't just a pizzeria; it's a slice of pure joy.

Picture this,. You walk in, and the aroma of freshly baked dough envelops you like a cozy blanket. Your buddy, you know the one who introduced you to this pizza paradise, grins like a kid in a candy store. It's your birthday, and the excitement is palpable. 🎂

The service here is Off the charts! These folks have mastered the art of making you feel like the guest of honor at a royal banquet. They're like the pizza whisperers—anticipating your every craving. And the pizza? Oh, my taste buds are doing a happy dance just thinking about it. Thick, saucy, and loaded with toppings it's the kind of pizza that makes you believe in magic.

But wait, there's more! 🎉 Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Remember it's Birthday Day they bring out a towering slice of Coconut Cream Pie. It's like a sweet symphony in your mouth—flaky crust, velvety filling, and a cloud of whipped cream that could rival Mount Everest (well, maybe not quite, but you get the idea). And guess what? The whole restaurant joins in a chorus of "Happy Birthday" as you blow out the candles. 🎶

Now, let's talk inclusivity. Louis' doesn't care if you're a pizza aficionado or a first-timer. It doesn't matter if you're rocking a three-piece suit or pajama pants (hey, we've all been there). They treat everyone like family. Nationality? Disability? Dress code? Nah, they see hearts, not labels. From the moment you step inside, you're part of their pizza-loving tribe.

And the vibe? Pure nostalgia. It's like stepping into your grandma's kitchen, where the air is thick with love and the walls echo with laughter. Families gather, friends reunite, and strangers become friends over a shared love for pizza. Louis' isn't just a restaurant; it's a memory factory.

So, my fellow pizza pilgrim, heed my advice: Go forth, devour pizza, and soak up the Louis' magic. Whether it's your first visit or your hundredth, you'll leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and a promise to return. Louis' Pizza... where pizza dreams come true! 🍕✨

P.S. If you spot a pizza slice with a secret message in sauce or made from dough, consider it a...

Long time regular at this store and sad to day today is my last. I always order pick up under the name "Tom" and louis has been my go to and recommend pizza place for the last 4 years.

The last few months, our orders from louis is constantly messed up. Albeit minor like forgotten garlic sauce, or asked for honey garlic and hot wings blend and only get hot. No biggie.

Tonight after a long day of work and errands we decide to pick up a quick order from louis as it's on the way home.

I ordered a club platter and side poutine and my wife ordered medium wings. She quickly realized she meant to as for bbq as hot sauce has been a probelm lately. We call back and ask for bbq instead of medium. Confirmed.

I pick up my order and when I return home, surprise, no poutine side and medium wings. I call back FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER about their mistake. The woman is very apologetic and asks me to come back. Great, more driving and more delayed dinner.

I arrive and wait with food in my hand for almost 5 minutes before I'm acknowledged. The lady grabs the food out my hand from behind and starts to open it up and go to the back. She returns and proceeds to tell me "they said this is bbq."

We've ordered bbq wings before from here plenty of times. I reply no, I can also taste hot sauce on those wings, they are not bbq. She goes back to the kitchen and then comes back and proceeds to argue with me that no they say it's bbq. And then asks me "well what do you want me to do with these?"

At this point, I'm hungry, I'm tired, I want to go home. Why was I asked to return to the restaurant to be met with an argument about my order? At this point I ask for a full refund because my time is fully being wasted.

As someone who was a very frequent regular, you lost my business fully after that. So tired of mistakes and when i finally addressed one, I'm met with an argument. So silly and so very disappointing service from a...

I understand why people like this place. - there is a warm welcoming vibe here. Our family(2 + 2) are just visiting Ottawa for the long weekend and based on the reviews decided to stop here for dinner. The restaurant is mostly booths of 4s or 2s with a couple of 6s, so coming with a large group could be problematic. We saw a large group occupying adjacent booths four 4tops so they could talk to each other - low walls between booths - don't expect much privacy. Our server was great and accommodated a few substitutions without any questions or hassle. Kids had the grilled cheese kids meals - the fries were quite good since they were real potato and tasted 'fresh' (not frozen) and were nicely crispy. The adults shared a med vegetarian pizza. They mention on the menu that their pizza crust is thicker and that you can request a thin crust. I don't normally prefer thick crust but decided to try their default..for the whole experience. I'm glad we didn't choose thin crust due to the fact that even with the thicker crust, the slices were too loaded with toppings to be eaten without cutlery. I can see why the garlic dipping sauce is a popular recommendation. The thick crust leads to larger end crust which was nicely seasoned (wifey said too salty but i thought it was fine) and dipping them in sauce would add some nice flavour. We didnt get any garlic sauce and i actually thought it was fine without it since i dont normally get those dips. We finished the meal with slices of coconut cream pie and cheesecake. I'll say that we enjoyed our visit, but aside from the fries, everything else was good/okay compared to the many superlative reviews for the pizza and pie. It's a good place to sit down for a meal and enjoy the hospitality and value...anyone thinking that they're coming here for a 'best you ever had' pizza or coconut cream pie experience should temper...
