Where to start...
We ordered several dishes from this spot tonight. Here’s the breakdown.
Butter Chicken - this was watery and flavourless. Nothing like advertised as a ‘rich creamy sauce’. If you like spice this only comes mild which is personally disappointing.
Chicken Tikka - this was very plain. The chicken was also overcooked and dried out.
Cauliflower Pakora - this was overbattered and mushy. It didn’t have any flavours that you would expect from a Pakora.
Garlic Naan - this was very doughy and undercooked. The chopped garlic on top wasn’t cooked long enough and tasted like we were eating raw garlic.
Plain Rice - this was done well.
Papadams - this was the highlight of what we ordered.
All the food was cold when we got home to sit down and eat which is strange since it is a 6 min drive from our house. It was unlikely made to order as I was told 30 mins for pick up and arrived only 2 mins after it was supposed to be ready.
If we could give zero stars we would. Did not even finish our meal (by choice). Waste of $45. Very shocked at the high ratings. Hopefully they make...
Read moreI’ve been ordering from Mia’s often during this pandemic, and the food is always great. The food is well prepared and packaged. The portions are quite generous.
My boyfriend and I finally decided to visit the physical restaurant for the first time today, and we were very satisfied with our experience. The staff were courteous and friendly. We felt very safe the whole time especially because staff tried to maintain physical distancing whenever possible. Tables were clean and well spaced apart on the patio.
We ordered the tandoori chicken and chicken korma. The tandoori chicken came sizzling hot. The chicken legs were well marinated, juicy, and tender. It also came with a mint sauce, salad, vegetables, and rice. The vegetables were really nice. It included a medley of potatoes, carrots, green peppers, peas, beans, and cabbage. The chicken korma had a pleasant aroma of coconut.
Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. Thank you, Mia’s, for a great first date at a restaurant since this...
Read morethis gets 2 stars for me as the food was eatable. we ordered tonight from the uber eats app and that doesnt color my review at all. the food on the other hand was not garbage but just regular bad at least tonight. i got the butter chicken wich arrived cold and when they said mild spicy i figured it would be fine but it was so sweet it made my teeth hurt. it tasted like they poured lemons amd honey into it. we also got a garlic naan and a regular naan and both had no color to them and seemed dry and undercooked. we also got the lental soup wich was just sorta fine. but the vegtable curry tased the same as my butter chicken wich was confusing. my butter chicken was 17 dollars and the vegtable curry was 13 dollars and for what we got i dont belive that the value or portion size represents value.
i wish golden india was still open but it seems that i will have to continue my search for a good...
