Delicious beer and large space inside. Giving it 1 star because of their disregard for mask wearing and for removing seating. Went to their St. Patrick's day live music event last night and almost no one was wearing masks and it was not enforced, and they took away tables to make room for a big dance floor in front of the stage so there was very limited seating. Not impressed by those decisions.
Edit: I am bumping my review by a few stars as I appreciate the professional and respectful response to the review, and I think it's fair to give a business a second chance. I'm not sure if the owner was there that night, but I can assure you there were no 'PA announcements' mid show - there was just music blasting when the live band wasn't playing. I also find it hard to believe anyone was asked to leave if they weren't* obeying the mask protocols, I witnessed dozens of people standing and walking around without ever putting a mask on, and they were there the whole night, so... no.
As this was my first experience at Overflow, I will give them the benefit of a doubt, and with things improving and mandates being lifted, an issue like this should no longer be a problem. The beer was delicious and I will certainly...
Read moreCan't say I like this place. I have been in on several occasions. A couple times to buy beer, and a couple time to grab a beer, and another to grab food and drink.
First off, this brewery/bar is located in a bit of a run-down warehouse next to a children's play place. I felt uncomfortable being there.
My experience with buying beer was unpleasant. There was some guy sitting on the employee side of the bar on his MacBook who just watched people wait as the busy bartender tried to serve everyone.
My experience with the drinking and music venue is that it was too loud. I've been to plenty of music venues, but that much sound in a small space was excessive. I really hope that they have dialed it down since my last visit.
My experience with food and drink started with noticing the taps in the bar are not operable? The bartender opened can's without saying anything, which I am not a fan of. I go to bars for drought beer. $7 for a $3.50 tall boy... Pass. The food was also meh. It was brought out in take out containers even though we were dining in. It was also highly priced.
I'll give this place another chance in a while to see if things have improved. This place is new and I'll give them the benefit...
Read moreTL,DR: WAAAAY OVER PRICED Beer was decent, drinkable but not great. Over $10 for a pint of beer that is under 5% is crazy expensive when youâre brewing it on site. Most pints were $12/pint where most breweries charge $8. The food was even more ridiculously priced, double what it should be. For example I order a taco salad which at $15 should have been at least triple the size (it was appetizer size). To digress - I just had one of the best handmade, farm to table, pasta dishes at a high-end restaurant for $14 - not sure what these guys think their pre-made ingredients have on real food but they sure are charging a premium for assembling some low quality ingredients. We also had wings which were terrible, not crispy but also completely lacking in sauce at the same time. At least if you are going to make sad sauceless little things, make them crunchy. Perhaps they should hire a real chef if they want to advertise food because really it wasnât edible by my standards and not worth the animals life. All-in-all for 2lbs of wings, taco salad, and 3 beers we paid $100. Save your money and go to a nice...
