Sí Señor - La Troca — Restaurant in Ottawa

This Tuesday, we realized our office's 30th anniversary was only two days away, and we hadn't yet planned anything to celebrate. Si Senor's La Troca swooped in, saved the day, and made it a celebration to remember.

Not only did they agree to come by with only 2 days notice, but the food was so delicious it had our staff going back for seconds (and those who didn't debated on the subject heavily). Everyone was so excited for the truck to come by, and no one was left disappointed. There was even a nice surprise for us all when we discovered they were making fresh churros for dessert too!

The service was also very quick. With only 2 people in the truck, I was amazed at how fast they got food in everyone's hands. I myself was 6th in line to order, and our entire staff of near 40 had been served at least once before I could finish my tacos. The staff were also very polite, taking the time to answer questions about the food from anyone who asked (is it halal, is the chicken diced or shredded, etc.) It was so lovely to have the truck able to accommodate the dietary needs of our diverse staff, offering multiple halal options and some vegetarian options as well. Not to mention for the amount of food we ordered, the price was great.

Overall, our celebratory lunch with staff was a massive success, and it's all thanks La Troca. I sincerely hope this is not the last time we are afforded another visit...

We had really high hopes for this truck based on the reviews I’d read but we were very disappointed. We ordered 5 tacos, 4 fish and 1 shrimp. The fish tacos were supposed to have no spice and all 4 had spicy sauce on them. We never got the shrimp taco and didn’t realize until we got home, by that time it wasn’t worth going back. We also ordered the chicken quesadilla and it had no flavour. We should’ve checked the boxes before we left to ensure we had everything but we assumed we’d be getting all our food.

Ordered a chicken burrito meal, which came with a choice of drink (I opted for coke Zero) and french fries. Burrito was great (it's big) chipotle mayo on the fries was awesome, so good in fact that my wife used it on her meatballs from the food truck next to it. The lady at the counter was very pleasant, and friendly. Couldn't give it 5 stars because the churros were overcooked (dry). But it is an honest 4.5 stars.

I was very hungry and I was stuffed and satisfied after trying this food truck for the first time.

My wife was very pleased with her fish tacos at a previous visit.
