Hintonburg Park — Attraction in Ottawa

Hintonburg Park is a delightful, medium sized, neighbourhood park close to downtown Ottawa. It is surrounded by a tall solid brick fence. This is a nice feature in that you don't need to worry about the kids leaving the park. They are easy to contain at this park. There are two play structures; one for ages five to twelve and one for ages two to five. There are picnic benches in a tree covered area and a small but big enough splash pad for the kids on a hot day. Also a decent sized field for soccer or football. A cute park! Couldn't ask for much more in the middle of the city. Maybe a washroom and a water fountain?...

Great young family park, family oriented neighborhood. Not the latest in tech, but tons for toddlers to explore and follow the lead of slightly older kids. Enough room for outdoors frisbee play, soccer ball kick around, outdoor yoga or workout, picnic room on the grass or at tables. Mini splash pad for summer fun. Walking distance to great neighborhood coffee shops, bakeries, and lunch options with take away, gelato and frozen...

I like that this park is relatively flat. Makes it easier to get around using a mobility device. Grateful for the proximity to a community centre. Although I don't know if it was open. Always needs to be washroom options. Port-o-potties don't work for people using mobility devices. None...
