Shawarma Chef — Restaurant in Ottawa

I honestly really think shawarma chef is a hidden gem 💎, after I heard it was under new ownership I thought I would give it another try and was absolutely blown away by how delicious and fresh the food is and how clean this place became, new owner is really a clean freak. Even tho we live about 45 minutes away, we now have it as part of or weekly schedule to go eat there - this shows how amazing and tastfull the food it. The prices are unbeatable given the quality of the food you get to eat. Everything is literally made in house, even including his sauces, I would highly recommend shawarma chef to anyone that has taste for lebanese food and wants to put quality and healthy food in their stomach. Must try there beef and chicken shawarma sandwich or shawarma burger witch has a exclusivly home made sauce just for it, there garlic fries with the spicy garlic sauce and original poutine with there home made mayo and ketchup on it. I hadn't been a big fan of Shawarma until actually trying Shawarma Chef. Recently we had friends coming over and we asked what if they could have anything would they like to eat. The answer was Shawarma so went online looking for what place had the best rating and found Shawarma Chef. I ordered a mixed family platter and called in the order for pick up.

I was amazed how well the food was presented and not only presented but the quality and quantity was also amazing. I haven't had much experience with Shawarma but I do know great flavor. Friends were amazed by the quality and taste and said they thought it was the best they have ever had.

Not only was the food amazing the workers are quite pleasant and really want to please their customers. Not many places that are willing to make substitutions on platters but when asked they willing made the change for me.

The family and I decided to order shawarma so we chose this place not expecting anything much. However, what was brought to our front door was something out of this world. We ordered the shawarma plate, the pita chips in the salad were still crispy! The salad still fresh! The pita bread, fresh! The FRIES, omg amazing. The rice was great. The portion size was great! The sauce that going into the salad was so tasty. The garlic sauce was not too salty which I find a lot of other shawarma places are. The hummus was great. To top that all off was the chicken…the chicken was juicy, crispy, I thought it would be dry when I saw it but I was mistaken. When I bit into the chicken I realized something… I have been wasting my time at other shawarma places while this gem as been so close to me. This is now my go to spot.
