I recently had the opportunity to dine at Mandarin Buffet in Orleans, and my overall experience was a bit of a mixed bag. While the food was satisfactory, the exceptional service stood out, but the pricing left me with mixed feelings.

My birthday celebration with 20 guests at this establishment was a memorable experience. Although the service was slower than expected, it was clear that our server was managing multiple large tables simultaneously, making the delay understandable. The staff's professionalism, humor, and courtesy were evident throughout our visit. Mandarin in Orleans is, without a doubt, one of the finest Chinese buffets I've encountered. The vast array of dishes, encompassing salads, appetizers, soups, stir-fry dishes, sushi, barbecue, and a staggering selection of desserts, is a testament to the establishment's commitment to quality and freshness. Each dish is carefully crafted, consistently meeting the high expectations of both myself and my guests. A notable highlight is the expertly prepared meats, which are always cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. From the crispy chicken legs to the tender beef cuts, every bite is a masterclass in culinary excellence, satisfying even the most discerning palate. I didn't expect this, but my experience here has been THE BEST restaurant experience I've had in this city in years & let me tell you, I go out to restaurants often so this says a lot! If you don't read this whole review, one thing you need to know from a Sangria girly to another, this is the best Sangria in the city. It's freshly made. No premix minute made overpriced Sangria here. Also THE STAFF IS FABULOUS!!! My friend and I went to the Mandarin on 10th line for brunch. We were both going through terrible heartbreak & thought it'd be nice to eat our feelings. The vibe at our table was flowing tears with hysterical laughs & comforting hugs. Now here's the good part, without us saying anything, staff picked up our sadness & went above & beyond to make our day better. The waiter made special accommodations, kitchen staff would come see us personally and tell us to hurry & get a plate whenever they put fresh meals out. I can't quite put into words the warm, supportive and loving atmosphere they created as they all subtly came together & in their own ways, showed kindness & compassion. 9/10 employees we had the pleasure to interact with that day were women. I have a feeling that it may have had something to do with it. To top it all off, the owner came to see us personally & showed the same kindness & compassion as the staff. She gave us both gift bags full of goodies which included specialty tea! Needless to say, we came in sad & in tears & left smiling...
